What type of oil you looking for? FS or SS, what viscosity? Get a branded oil and you are safe, even Tesco promo oil (Shell, Mobil, Total), Aeon (Mitsu, Shell) are okay, many using

My engine is 6a12 model..
Roughly done 100k km..
FS I read is used for new engines less then 5year.. and for V6 recommended API SM 15w50.
Because V6 uses hydraulic Tappets.. need advise on what can be used to optimize the engine.
I use to used Motul b3fore..

My car is 25 years old and still using FS 5w-40. Most brands have this viscosity so is easy to find. In my years of usage I have tried from 5w-30, 5w-40, 5w-50 and 10w-60. My engine also hydraulic tappets. For 5w-30 is too light, after warm up very noisy, 10w-60 a bit heavy, 5w-50 and 5w-40 should be best, however as mentioned more 5w-40 in the market.
Currently using Mitsu FS 5w-40, bought from Aeon during Promo. This is the older SM rated oil. The new SN rated ones are more costly. However I did stock some bottles of it so should last me a while....hhahahhaa
If you looking at 50 weight try Mobil 1 FS silver bottle 5w-50. 60 weight 10w-60 from Castrol....:driver:

since u have rm10k to spare, keep rm5k for the engine & another rm5k for your gearbox just incase it dies.
for manual tranny on v6, u could opt for code 232(shorter ratio, clutch plate is 8.5") or 312(longer ratio, suitable for v6tt clutch plate is 9")
make sure its complete
1.gearbox
2.gear lever complete with cable
3.3 pedals, or 2 pedals enough (brake & clutch), some shops only provide the clutch pedal only, then u gotta cut your brake rubber pedal.
4.upper & lower clutch pump
5.clutch & flywheel

above could costs u rm4.5-5.5k

there are only minor upgrades for v6,
1.custom extractor - costs rm800-1k
2.crank pulley
3.cam pulley
4.aluminium radiator
just to highlight, 312 is a short ratio gearbox, 100kmh if im not mistaken was close to 3500rpm
miss my manual v6 since it got stolen few years ago.

Close ratio gear box is like that loh! That is why choose ratio according to driving style, whether highway cruising or touge style.....hahhaha
