Gran Turismo Driftable

Yeap, GT4 is the best racing simulation. Nice video, bro but I think u need put a rubber band at the analog to make the steer tighter. From the video, after drift u hardly control the car to go straight again. May i know how to upload a video? I also have a clip. Cheers..

while waiting for your PS2, may i suggest you to use Emulators? while they are quite safe actually(i mean for PSOne version, not for PS2)and i think that satisfy your lust to drift for a while.....I was doing that too before I got my PS2...

or..

You can play Daytona USA arcade....kekekekeke......just shift lock from 4th to 2nd gear for every coner and countersteer....hahahaha

just my 2 cents worth of advice...

namzy,
dun worry...we are here to help each other, besides after playing Enthusia and Midnite Club 3:Dub Edition for a while, i got back to GT4....nuthin beats GT4...really

yeah nothing beat GT series game, but its also nice to go and play other games, cause it really helps from diffrent place. like Richard Burns Rally : i learn about to stay in safety, just stay out from trouble. Kaido Battle 1 and 2 : learn to counter steer smoothly and suprise for those that unable to drift in Kaido Battle, yeah, its a driftable game

oh yeah!!! kaidou battle is a nice game too, not very high speed drifting but it is still drift-table

kaido battle also teach me about the Ryousuke theory is real : lower hp sometime its batter than high hp.
hard to explain, play kaido battle then u will know. or even more clear if u play GT4, high Hp doesnt help, sometime it ruin your drift.

about the emulator stuff, its nice way to start drift with lower cost hehe, if since u have a computer. but if u want to learn more greater skill, guy u at least need a PS2, or if u are more lucky to spend a bit more, upgrading your DS2 to DFP Steering Wheel. <--- sounds so familiar haha, quote from Drift King in Drift Bible haha

rubber band tricks, never try it, may be it works for u guys. but i still prefer to use original DS2 without mods hehe.

i think if u accel smoothlly after conner then it will looks better.

yeah huh, good work, haha see u like this, it reminds me about ME last time, save for PS2.

drifter club? ermmm where? ZTH eh? hmmm not bad, i also thinking about starting a team here. so whats you guys think?

namzy:erm...drift club for GT4....kekeke...in DCM got LFS team, in ZTH if got GT4 club quite good also...kekekeke

hehehe,Kaido Battle 2 ah....quite good but i think inside the game when I drift FF cars even nicer then FR or MR....but usually in Kaido Battle 2 i will use the Greddy MRS to drift....compact and easy to control...kekekeke

Yeah, not only in Kaido Battle 2 but also in other games...even in GT4 also, lower HP cars are even better to control...imagine you are engaging some tight corners, for example those tight corners at Trial Mountain after the first tunnel.....imagine driving a 400 HP ER34.....man you need to use handbrake a lot of times to minimize the speed around the corner and summore make the car continue to slide....where else with cars like a S13 '88(with a CA18DET engine) or a Levin/Trueno, you just press down the gas all the way, the easiest way is to just do a power-over technique over it....of course i am not saying high HP cars not good.....even at courses like Mini Autumn Ring and Infineon Stock Car Track, you need to have a higher HP car so that you can drift corners which are at uphill

farique: B4 i went and got my PS2 set, David(Metalzone) and Stanley approached me to play it...later my classmate Boon Leng also told me the same thing. But that time i have only the budget to do one of the things: either buy a PS2 to play or use the same money to upgrade my PC(which is 5 years old)....so I opted PS2.....of course if got enuff money i dun mind playing LFS too....kekeke....just look at David's case....in real life only drift with his FF Iswara, but then in LFS can drift FR...later from LFS can get the skill to drift a real FR car, summore the FR car dun have LSD....huiyooh....must be good the game....kekekeke

Fai: Are you refering to the videos that I posted? if you are refering to those crap videos that I did, I have tried to straightened the car after drifting a corner but many times i find myself spining if i quickly make the car straight, so my solution is to chouko-dori a bit until i can more or less sure that it is time suitable for me make the car straight.....this may sound crazy but that is usually what i do.....

Regarding the rubberband trick thingy...I have tried but for only a period of time because later I found out that my analog stick will start to corrode....meaning that there will be plastic powder starting to come out of the analog stick.....then i decided to take out the rubberband....what to do?it is my one and only precious white controller(ori PS2,not PSOne)....

To upload a video, you can use www.putfile.com's services. It is free and quite okay(aiyah, free one...what can you expect?)kekekeke

GT4 team ar, ok la, i will looks around and see la, so are u in the team or not?

actually each car have the special way to drift with it, and high hp is more special la, and need very accurate accel and brake. but i found out that the Nomuken's ER34 is a kind of good cars to drift with. cause it high hp but the rpm run respond like low HP cars. it just like dont want to goes up, and produce very good low rpm torque.

if the rubberband tricks works, i think its worth to use it. and the plastic powder u mean, yeah its bad if it comes out from the analog stick. i have a half broke ORI DS2 at my house, my dad use it to play FIFA2004 ( haha i also dont belive but he really beat up the Worlds Class Mode ) haha but its EXPENSIVE to win for him, he rocks the stick so hard till the bubber on the stick turn lose. hard to explain, its just like the rubber on the top is seperated from the bottom. haha, catch what i mean?

hmmm downloading the file u upload just remind me when then time i use dailup last time, hmmmm nothing i can do, cause its hosted free

In GT4 got Team Revo's car (If u read Hypertune volume 39 page 20 u know what car i mean <_< )

Check it out Team Revo's car doin DRIFT.

what is this car anyway, erm duno la, i just think that the picture is not acctually a drifting pic, cause i see the wheel lockup liao. its a hand brake spin, stop at the right angle and SNAP

Hey namzycad3 u told me to off ASM and TCS and those drift i use handbrake drift and U told about the TCS make wheels slow what.

Anyway sorry I am still new in GT4. ;)

TCS on will cut off your fuel till its almost totally stop when i slip, and cause of that, dont ever turn it on if u want to drift seriouslly.

ASM will just disturb your feeling from your car and respond back to the steer/accel/brake. it will ruin your drift, so turn it off too. some people will say that ASM that prevent understeer will help u ( use the brake to makes the car oversteer) but nahhhh sometime it come, sometime it doesnt, need alot of time to understand it.

Means no computer helping u is the best way to help your self.

about the E-brake :
* i pull to extend my drift : when i going to exit the conner and i found out that i am over speed, and its nearlly at the RED ZONE of the rpm and there is no space for me to accel, so i pull the E-brake, give the rpm some rest, drag the wheel slide out a bit, and then after spilt second i accel back and try to maintain smooth accel and steer to finish the conner.

- i pull to spin my wheel :
* like Drift King in Drift Bible said so, when there is understeer and its hard for u to make the car slide, just pull the e-brake. or the rpm is a bit low to make a good torque, pull the e-brake and accel so that the wheel spin ( usefull for low hp cars )

and if u try many times pulling the e-brake with accel on and u will found out one thing - the rpm will like slip from high rpm to the right rpm then only u can continue to accel after u pull the e-brake, i think its cause by the clutch is sliping, and its sometime bad for drift, it will makes the time of accel - ebrake - accel process longer. so for solution i suggest that try off the accelerator and then only u pull the e-brake, and the resume accel respond will faster. try it then u will understand what i mean.

but dont always use the e-brake, cause i feel that its not always makes the same thing when u pull it. a split second can makes alot of diffrent.

and i forget to tell u guys, each driver got each diffrent theory, skill, concept and, way to drift a car. so what i said MAY BE doesnt works for u guys, so ermm if i got say anything wrong or not usefull or will waste you guys time, sorry 1st ar.

but anyway if u guys got any oppinion just shoot it out, lets talk about it and makes things better.

fai: so sorry for taking so long to view your video. first and foremast i must say that your video is very amazing, especially graphics. Hope you can recommend me where to buy the video capture card...kekeke...

well, maybe i am wrong and it is just only me myself but i think that yours is more to speed drift, meaning attaining faster lap times through corners by sliding the tail out, very neat and fast....that is really impressive.

Yeah, what you say is right. I need to control the throttle when i am exiting my corner. kekekekeke, thank you very much for that tip!

The only thing i would like "ketuk" a bit is:"wahlau, why country music used for drifting one?" kekekeke, joking lah....dun be angry ah....

BTW, how much is your speed whhile you were doing those drifts? looks like very fast man.....

namzy: wahlau, your analysis on those driving aids very terror, can be the next Takahashi Ryosuke liao...kekekeke

BTW guys, I have got my drift videos been reviewed by gtplanet.net's Tankspanker. He is the tutor for GT4 drifting in the website and also one of the penal judges of the GTPDCs, also called the GTPlanet Drift Competitions. This is his reply after viewing my vids(I told him to ketuk me as hard as possible, otherwise I dun learn):

TankSpanker said:
hey!
sorry it took so long to get back to you, I didnt mean for it to. I got flooded with PM's and lost yours in the shuffle.
...

anyways, drifting
i'd definitly get that capture card as soon as possible. I'm going to hold off comments on the R33 and the mercedes partly b/c i couldnt fully tell what was going on during the drifts. In the future, i'd suggest leaving the camera zoomed out so its possible to see exactly where your car is on the track, and what each wheel is doing with relation to the road surface.

However, I will recommend that you stop drifting the wet track and stick to dry surfaces for now. Yes, its fun, but I dont want you to end up with a warped perception of the effort needed to initiate drift on the rest of the tracks in the game.

The drifts I could make out in the white FC looked pretty good from someone who is a self-proclaimed noob. Smooth line on R246 Turn 1, though it appears that there's some issues with making a clean exit from corners - possibly due to too much power? hard to tell with the picture quality and lack of sound, just a shot in the dark. But I would advise you keep the power below 300hp on that car if it is not.

Aside from that tidbit, i'd say you definitely show promise. Just keep practicing and play with different techniques. Learn the basics (use the vids in the Drift reference if you need to), and build from there.

Keep at it, and dont let yourself get frustrated. You will spin, it is a given, but dont give up on it. It will take time.

hope to see you out in the forums. Happy driftin to ya! <!--emo&;)--><img src='style_emoticons/default/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle'
alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

well, that's it lah.....

wow, so long, take times to read, and i think i need to read twice to remember and understand it.

actually i think what he said is right, drift at wet track is good, cause it will give u points where to start than doing MABUK drift and got no tips where to start to fix ( skill or setting )and etc. and it also will give some confident, so that u wont stop at the half way ( GT4 is very very hard to master, even the grip also hard to do the best )

yeah i know the GTPDC, wish to join it last time but lack of toolz. but duno la, i hope to join malaysian eh website la, feel its more better.
