mivec problem

hi guys,im keigo here...needs some help here....
my mivec engine was getting crazy now...the idiaring oso higher till 3000rpm when i start the engine even the engine is running hot.....then it seems like working wif 3 pistons only...
may i noe why my engine like tats?
i change the throtle body,check the manifold hose and sure there no puncture holes......
if my head leaking gas,it cause???

i dont know n dont ask me how but i think it might be ur MAP sensor..or better stil ask the sifus in mivec thread..only my 1 cent..

My frens mivec seems doesnt perform well. When rpm reach 5-6k , top speed can be reach only 140-150kmh..

normally when 3000rpm, normal car will reach 100kmh-110 based on my experience in driving .. but his car rpm must be >4k in order to reach that...

is it a ecu problem? or exhaust tuning or maybe some other problems happen here..

No, not his car problem. This because mivec engine come with close ratio gearbox.

then is a LSD gb so max torque should be around 6000rpm

mivec engage point ard 5.5k... n lsd gearbox doesn't affect the torque curve... n stock mivec max torque is at 7k rpm....

like boyzone said, mivec running on close ratio gearbox, its meant for pick n keep mivec point engage whenever u drag n shift at 8k rpm....

mivec gearbox shoul dgive you 5th gear 3k rpm ard 85km/h.
5th gear 110km/h is ard 3.9k rpm....

its not his mivec got prob, is the gear ratio design~!

dun worry abt this... normal proton 6k red line, mivec 8krpm red line...

my 1.6 mivec 4th gear 8k rpm 205km/h
5th gear 7.4k rpm 223km/h....

so dun worry, mivec is not normal proton engine,
u guys drive max 6k rpm....

mivec engine 6k rpm onli start screaming... until 8k rpm...

my car rechipped, max rev 8.9k rpm... i done 0-100km/h on 2nd gear 8.6k rpm....
