hey to all 4G1++ user

how can we increase the performance of 4g13 stock engine other than using the the stroker kit?

newbe here..:)

port n polish...highcam..individual throttle body..performance extractor ... just get ready the $$

Best way to improve performance is to have a lot of money.

1st stage - pnp head, camshaft and adjustable cam pulley... any aftermarket brand will do, alloy crankpulley any brand, extractor, 8" flywheel + clutch n clutch cover.

2nd stage - 4g15 block and internal, Fuel Injection set, upgraded front disk brake, rear disk brake, double layer servo.

3rd stage - 4g18/s4ph crank, oversize piston, engine management/piggyback etc, steel braided brake hose, Alloy radiator + fan + fan shroud.

4g15 can use 4g18 crank???...

Probably not. But what most people do is use the campro one. *ahem cough secret cough ahem*

4G13 mods, best bang for buck is to better jump to 4G15 block and start from there~~

If want to maintain 1.3L and see how far it can go, saw a lot of 4G13 dynoed around 75whp to 80whp range NA :)

thanks to all for giving info..

if i change to 1.5 block..is there any complicated procedure?need to endorse?

how about the cost?

Price depends on your luck on getting a cheap and cheerful block.

Legal procedure : do your swap, go Puspakom for inspection, go JPJ to update car registration card with new block number.

Illegal procedure : do your swap, keep quiet, don't get into accident.

Oh ya.. when buying the block make sure it comes with the grant. If not you will have a hard time registering it.

as i done my research on it earlier, its very hard to get only the block, even if they have it without the grant. "Engine kosong" probably will cost around 1.2k (block + head)...

This is what I have done to my 4g13... Done it when fully rebuilt my engine
-Over-sized pistons (74mm)
-Bigger clutch (1.6)
-Bigger bearings
-1.6 throttle body
-exhaust system (4-2-1, mid bullet, s-flow(gti style)

2nd gear can reach 70km/h at 5krpm
3rd gear 110km/h plus...

hope this info helps you bro... :)

For s4ph crank, don't forget to grind the bottom end (for crank/conrod clearance)of the block and full engine balancing too.. :driver:

I myself still on learning process bro... yup, ur block need to be rebored... If your budget allow, go for 1.5 block as u wont regret for it... can use 78mm oversized pistons with 4g15 block... :)

if u wanna get more info about fitting 4g18 crank shaft on 4g15, can try PM khguan...

helo everyone. i have a 4g15 engine which has just failed jpj inspection. Whats best way around getting the engine back in order to pass the inspection? It failed because they claimed that engine no was tampered with. So far, I know 2 options:
1) Change the whole engine - RM3k (include labor)
2) Change the block - below RM1k(cheaper but labor will be expensive and jpj endorsement will be tedious.)

Anyone with suggestions, i would really appreciate it

Go straight to a 4G93 block.. still within 30% allowance..
