Thanks bro. Appreciate it a lot. How would you compare R1R with BS RE11? Performance and price?
Directional were designed to be more effective in the wet, pushing the water to the back with straight grooves and to the side with side grooves all pointing out. Of course this is for aquaplane resistance only and grip still comes from the ribber compound. Best was the GY F1 GS-D3 model. Thanks a lot for the advice bro..
In this case, care to explain what's the benefits and drawbacks of directional and asymmetric tires??
Been seeing them around for a while..
I just don't know what benefits they could bring to road users..
:)
Sorry, yet to try any extreme tyres......but in luck, found this for your reading......Thanks bro. Appreciate it a lot. How would you compare R1R with BS RE11? Performance and price?
bro.. once i asked at apex sunway 195/50 or 55/15 for BS RE11 they quoted me RM700/pc.Thanks bro. Appreciate it a lot. How would you compare R1R with BS RE11? Performance and price?
Yup, certain extreme tyre prices also extreme......bro.. once i asked at apex sunway 195/50 or 55/15 for BS RE11 they quoted me RM700/pc.
*jaw dropped*
well, with wat taikor vr2turbo listed.. i gotta say dat T1R side wall much softer than R1R.
why not try Direzza Z1star. Currently on GY Eagle RS Sport.. super sticky but scary in wet.
Here are some prices for you to compare with:-Well, I don't think I'll be driving my Persona beyond its limit that often..
Besides I've been keeping everything stock..
In this case I'll probably give the Eagle F1 the benefit of doubt..
Thanks a lot again for the advice..
I'll find out the price for it first then will have it posted here..
;)
Yup, that is what I heard also, even for BS tyres. Is it true that all Michelin Tyres authorised dealers are not allowed to sell Michelin tyres lower than the recommended retail price?
If they are proven doing do, they may face action by Michelin company in Malaysia..
Can anyone confirm or comment on this?:damnmate:

Thanks for the price list bro..
Will give a few of them a call first..
I'm still split between Eagle F1 D5 and the Pilot Sport 3..
But listening to your explanation I'm kinda inclined towards the D5..
Bro., hope you did not mix them up. The directional pattern tyre that was really good in aquaplane resistance was the GY F1 GS-D3. The latest one is the F1 D5. Overall grip I think have improved, and aquaplane resistance still good but not as good as the GS-D3.Thanks for the price list bro..

Yup, this one proven but more expensive only.....In this case looks like I'll swing it back to PS3 then..

i'm very happy with discussion that being made here about choosing tyre for my vehicle. (both city&lancer). and for now, i'm having dilemma about changing my new honda civic FD (2006). nowadays i'm using oem (205/55R16) rim&tire set, just that this month need to change for new set. i need an opinion about what type of tyre (UHP of course) and brand that should i choose. i'm a frequent travel person (penang-kl)
