Is that the AD08 copycat thread pattern?Rovelo Sport A1 225/40/R18 W = MYR 220
Rovelo Sport A1 225/45/R17 W = MYR 220
This tyre surprise the heck out of me with its price versus performance ratio. Its grippy both wet and dry. Braking distance is improved and tyre is quiet as far as i compared to Petlas and Falken 914.
The tyre should able to last 40,000 km easily. But with my driving style, i would say 30,000 km.
Nope, Sports A1 is HP only, CV one is suppose to be extreme category and model is Rovelo Racer R1....Is that the AD08 copycat thread pattern?
Paging @cvkit17 for feedback.
Cuz from what I remember he said the A1 isn't too bad but it's no match for the PS3, Re003, etc.
Nope it isn't that thread pattern, see the differences between the 2 below (first AD08, second Rovelo). I am fairing against my Volvo with PS4, the 1jz Beemer is as heavy as the Volvo. In rain, the Rovelo is safe and no hydro planning issue when going through puddle of water at about 100 km/h, PS4 needless to say not a problem but Volvo being FWD, the steering will have its own mind haha. Wet braking is excellent on both Rovelo and Michelin PS4 ! When driving aggressively in the beemer, Rovelo can hold the ground well and no tyre screeching with all the hard acceleration (constant redlining the 1jz). I can't seem to throw the car into a powerslide as it just glide through the corners. I did a fast hairpin test at Setia Alam highway to Kapar, there is a hairpin turn back to NKVE, cornering speed is about 65 ++ km/h and exit corner speed close to 100 km/h (GPS speed). Feels stable and no signs of understeer or oversteer. Is that the AD08 copycat thread pattern?

RSR was 205/50 woh.......Rovelo Racer R1. Cheap and cheerful.
Performance wise one tack below Fed RSR but well it’s not apple to apple so maybe this is biased.
Dry run is much better than PS3 and re003. Surprisingly wet run is good too.. my tyres are at 30-40% now and going through water puddle still not a problem at all
I am using rovelo sport a1 too. Very cheap tires when compared to ps3 and grips pretty well too. I used ps3 before and i think the rovelo might just be a tad lower grip compared to ps3.Is that the AD08 copycat thread pattern?

In the dry, may be close, I am sure PS3 is better in the wet......I am using rovelo sport a1 too. Very cheap tires when compared to ps3 and grips pretty well too. I used ps3 before and i think the rovelo might just be a tad lower grip compared to ps3.
I have both tyres, PS3 and Rovelo A1 on different cars. PS3 is better in wet but not by very big margins. I would say for the price of Rovelo A1, it serves damn well ! Now see how long it can last.In the dry, may be close, I am sure PS3 is better in the wet......
Sometimes on different cars hard to tell. There were test reviews that I have read before, testing a few tyres model from different manufacturers done on FWD and then RWD. Testers also surprised they react different, so much so, the best tyre for FWD were not the same for RWD.....lolI have both tyres, PS3 and Rovelo A1 on different cars. BMW E46 1JZ = Full Rovelo 225/45/17 - Verdict, very good grip and tried to spin the rear tyres on straight line acceleration, barely heard screeches before the car took off fastSometimes on different cars hard to tell. A few of my other friends have used before, so far no complaints.....Thinking to change all my 4 tyres to Rovelo sport A1. Is't really worth it? Mainly use for city driving. Kedai papan quote me rm160 for my 215 45 17.
Kedai papan is like a nickname given to Hin Leong Tyre Service in Klang.where is this Kedai Papan? can share the Google Map location?
Btw Hin Leong is bad in alignment tuning, if your cars are with tuned suspension you can just buy tyres and go somewhere else to tune the alignment. Heck their on wheel balancing services are also not up to par. At least thats my review.Kedai papan is like a nickname given to Hin Leong Tyre Service in Klang.

Still contemplating whether to change all 4 tyres to Rovelo or just change 2 first to Primacy 4 to be within the budget. 3 of 4 tyres are worn out nowA few of my other friends have used before, so far no complaints.....
Now days they just offer free balancing so might as well just buy the tyres and go somewhere else. Shops like Hin Leong, Oscar tyre offered a cheaper price but known for their bad workmanship. Most probably they just want to finish up fast.Btw Hin Leong is bad in alignment tuning, if your cars are with tuned suspension you can just buy tyres and go somewhere else to tune the alignment. It's not the question of worth it, it's the question of whether its safe for all rounder performance especially wet braking and traction. My review so far it works very well if my Lancer and BMW E46, no visible hydroplanning when driving on highwayThinking to change all my 4 tyres to Rovelo sport A1. Is't really worth it? It all boils down to personal preference and what it is you want to use the tyres for. If it's daily grocery getter point-A to point-B type of short-distance driving then the cheaper alternative is the better solution.Still contemplating whether to change all 4 tyres to Rovelo or just change 2 first to Primacy 4 to be within the budget. 3 of 4 tyres are worn out now
First off, forgot to ask, what's your car and spec ? Comparing Primacy and Rovelo Sport, i can guarantee Primacy won't have the grip of Rovelo and Rovelo won't have the comfort of Primacy. Now days they just offer free balancing so might as well just buy the tyres and go somewhere else. Currently driving my 9 years old FD2. I'm not really into performance but as long as it has good grip, less noise and hopefully can last for 2 years it's already good for me.First off, forgot to ask, what's your car and spec ? Dayton has reputation of breaking traction in mid corners. Raydenz another Chinese brand tyres made RFTs and they are quite reliable so far. I had seen few BMW F30s and Merc E class uses Rovelo after their RFT ran out.Currently driving my 9 years old FD2. How's Rovelo compared to other budget tyres like Dayton or any other china brand?
Avoid Chinese and most Indon brands like the plague. Jinyu, Accelera, etc. Horrible horrible tyres. I've never used Dayton can't comment. The ones I've tried are their supposed "UHP" models.Currently driving my 9 years old FD2. Thanks for the feedback. Think I'll go for Rovelo this time :)Dayton has reputation of breaking traction in mid corners. Raydenz another Chinese brand tyres made RFTs and they are quite reliable so far. I had seen few BMW F30s and Merc E class uses Rovelo after their RFT ran out.
Your FD2 is almost the same as my Lancer, so far i am quite happy with its traction on both wet and dry. I had took it for a long drive from KL to Johor and comfort is great, sound is ok lar (Lancer NVH is shit) and grip in both wet and drive is very satisfying.
Used Dayton before, not so bad for that price.Avoid Chinese and most Indon brands like the plague. Jinyu, Accelera, etc. Horrible horrible tyres. I've never used Dayton can't comment. The ones I've tried are their supposed "UHP" models.
Rovelo happened to be Chinese owned though.Avoid Chinese and most Indon brands like the plague. Jinyu, Accelera, etc. Horrible horrible tyres. I've never used Dayton can't comment. The ones I've tried are their supposed "UHP" models.
I'm specifically talking about models and brands I've personally tested. Rovelo is Chinese but feedback from people who've tried it is positive so all the feedback is purely based on the people hereRovelo happened to be Chinese owned though.
Ok noted, AFAIK Rovelo and Raydenz are great value for money tyres, on the safe side, i will change these tyres after 2 rounds of engine oil change just to be on the safe side, that's 20k. I will report back here on the verdict.I'm specifically talking about models and brands I've personally tested. Yah, owned by Sailun, but factory in Vietnam.Rovelo happened to be Chinese owned though.
I also happened to drove one 328i F30 fitted with these tyres at a used car dealer, dude said its temporary but the car holds its ground great when i am doing a full throttle U-turn.Rydanz Roadster 02 - 195 55 15 - RM120
Surprisingly good UHP tyre.
Dry - 8/10
Wet - 7/10
Noise - 7/10
So is Vietnamese factory better QC than Chinese ? At least i know their women are. LOLYah, owned by Sailun, but factory in Vietnam.
Those bloody idiots use torque gun to torque the heck out of your nuts. I am not surprised, most of their workers are your typical klang ah beng.Changed all my donuts to Rovelo Sport A1 yesterday in Klang and their pomen successfully broken 2 of my wheel nuts. Oh well talking about bad workmanship.
Not Ah beng but all expats from BangladeshThose bloody idiots use torque gun to torque the heck out of your nuts. I am not surprised, most of their workers are your typical klang ah beng.
Even worse ... the last i am there still lots of china bengs, now with bangla that don't even understand your language, you yelled at them they will just act oblivious. That's why i stop going there even though i know their tyres are cheap. I rather pay alittle extra then having them screw up my cars. Not Ah beng but all expats from Bangladesh
