Stoplock doesn't work too well with all aftermarket wheels. Even though it may cover some of the bolts, it is still very loose and can be rotated to reveal all the bolts anyway.

guys, there's not one security company in the world that can come out and say the car won't be stolen while using their product coz the fact is, you car is not 100% safe. the only way to minimise the risk is by using steering lock, gear lock and pedal lock. i mean if you're an extreme person, u can use all 3 but actually the gear lock and steering lock is good enuff. just as long as the thief can see those locks, he'll be deterred. better still if you got your glass sand blasted, the bigger the better.

now we talk about getting a good steering lock. why should u pay RM250 for STOPLOCK when u can buy a TYPE R or BROTHERS for only RM55? first, the quality of material used. brand x might use a normal mild steel material while STOPLOCK might use a toughened high tensile steel. also, the reliability of the lock comes into picture. this happened to me once. once i parked my car outside my house and i bought this cheapo baseball steering lock. next morning, i use the key to open the lock and to my surprise the key went in, twisted but the freaking lock doesn't disengage itself. spent the next 20 minutes twisting the keys and trying watsoever ways to open the lock but couldn't open. luckily it was outside my house so i took some WD40 spray a bit and tried a few times, finally it opened. immediately threw away that stupid steering lock. lesson learnt, bought a stoplock and i never had such problem anymore.

its cut proof, bullet proof.. i dun know true it is...

Im using it currently and Im very very satisfied... I would 101% recommend that to anyone....

Because i know some asshole tried to cut that or break that lock from my car... since i can see a lot of cut marks near my clutch pedal.... but i think they failed...

Trust me this its good shit...
I bought it at Galery Smart Shop and the price is RM230... its worth it.

BEWARE!!!there are 2 types of STOPLOCK,original and non original,both r exactly the same,diff quality...
how shall we differentiate the 2? ;)

2pac, aren't you suppost to lock the brake pedal with your steering? how come your clutch pedal kena potong pulak? is it easy to put on the lock and unlock? It looks like easier than stoplock for the locking and unlocking from the TV demo.

The cut marks are actually at the lower part of the gear console near the clutch pedal.. not the pedal it self... so have to change the Gear console lah.. since it look ugly...

According to the person in Smart Shop the Brake pedal for Waja auto is short (from the ground of the car) so its difficult to pull the lock. I have personally tried to use that lock to a Waja (A). It can be locked but need to pull hard and if u pull too hard its a bit difficult to open.

The claim is only for U.S not in Malaysia. :D

No no ..bro.. the Autolock Pro does not lock the steering.. only the clutch.. u can choose either clutch or brake... i chose clutch....

Yes its easy to lock and unlock.. u just need to practice to get use to it...

If u wan i can show u lah... u can try it.. my location is in PJ.... I can give u a demo :P

I still remember the first day i bought this lock... the smart shop fellow showed me on my car and he locked it very tightly and since its the first time he using it... he took around 15 - 20 minutes to unlock the Autolock even with the key...

I and my friend (ravis - ZTH forumer too) were there too

Seriously .. if u plan to invest on steering lock or clutch lock.. u better go for this lah...
call me lah if u wan to see the lock... I only can show.. u have to go and buy from any smart shop

STOPLOCK and AUTOLOCK are 2 diffrent thing...

STOPLOCK locks the steering and AUTOLOCK locks the clutch or brake....

AUTOLOCK is the one shown in Smart shop

2pac,
dun worry, we know that, I'm just asking how to differentiate the 2 type of stoplock in the market mention by michael85.

Michael85 and I was discussing about the STOPLOCK only. not Autolock :)

LOL.....someone start to talk about AUTOLOCK in a STOPLOCK thread until everyone also blue oredi asked why AUTOLOCK not locking the steering

IMHO i don't think its really cut/bullet proof but it would take a longtime to cut it and then also with the right equipment, unless the theif can carry plasma cutter with him everywhere he goes

to a theif spending more than 2 minutes on a car is too risky already so unless there is a way to undo the lock without cutting/sawing/shooting it i guess he will try another car and give yours a pass.

i've been reading up alot about car security since someone tried to jack my car :P

Hi

Since my Lancer Engine swap I feel I should do a brake upgrade.

I am lucky that my lancer already has fairly good brakes, with rear disks but I now have about 60% more BHP.

On the back I think I can just put upgraded brake pads but I would like to go bigger on the front.

Current standard set up is 276 MM vented as per here:

I am running 16 inch wheels (which I would like to keep)...
