question regarding exhaust mod,,

markii: im not sure bout that..but, if standard way..it should be one after another...but u r using two of those ar...u got pictures?can show ?

nono...i currently on 1 bullet only. might weld another one in if it helps my pickup speed.

erm, if u really keen to get the best of bullets, try replacing it with other designs one by one or add in another one bullet until u get the pick up power u wanted..just my opinion ;|

kweng84,
i did't change my piping,i only change the mid box......
well like this,if i take out the mid box and change to bullet...whats the effect ?

which kind of midbox? the long thinner(ovul shape) type or the round long type(cylinder shape) or other than these? extractor change? stock piping wat size? wat muffler r u using, sflow or straight flow? staye the brands if can....i try my best here...

What if, we just change our extractor size for our auto ride? will that be enough? which mean I wont top up anything like mid box or bullet nor mufflers. (thos still in stock, just extractor nia...) will that help? :) Thanks

i am planning to change my exhaust system on my satria 1.6 manual. So far this is what i think i should be doing:
- change extractor
- change piping
- change muffler to s-flow type or the 'tong' type but still maintaining my original piping route.

i am still wondering if i should get a k&n mushroom type air filter or just get a k&n drop in filter.

I don't want my car to be too loud so thats why i am not thinking of doing straight piping.

what do you guys recommend?

chiathau: if u r just a city driver and not optimal requirement..it should be enough...if ur midbox out of fiber, u need to change it...

last time i change my 4-2-1 then open pod my middle box got sound hitting medal sound so yesterday i go to change the mid box to long bullet the sound is not so loud the hitting medal sound then i change the muffler to the (2"inlet outlet is twin is a s-flow muffler) the hit medal sound more loud than last time then i add more bullet in the sound is no more... i want to ask if 2 bullet will make my car performance down...? 1st bullet is toronto bullet spec-r for auto car is longer than normal bullet, 2nd bullet is normal bullet no toronto inside then my piping is 1.6".. hope got people can reply me thanx...

question:
is it will make my performance down?
any side effect?
thanx......

kweng84.
i'm using Hobits extractor, mid box is box type and long one cos for auto car, exhaust using Apex'i N1 type.....piping still original 2",never change before...

n_chun21,
the metal sound u mention i think is from the extractor, cos last time i just change extractor that time also got some mental sound.....the exhaust guy told me that is from the extractor........

Firstly, 2 bullets are still okay for your auto car. But, you need to check whether the fibre is still there after 2-3 months. Poor fibre can cause power loss.
Bout your 'hitting metal ' sound, when it normally occured? I suspect your muffler box spoilt..some brackets might have broken inside your sflow..trying revv high and then let go...if u listen the metal sound means ur sflow got problem..

Bro, ur original piping is 2"? What car r you driving? how many cc car?
Apexi N1 style used how long?
whats the difference when you first use it and now?
i think ur exhaust specialist didnt test properly your exhaust setup...i might be wrong...need more info bout ur car...

i'm driving Gen2...yah...the original piping is 2"..
the muffler used around 1 month like that.....
1st use and now ?not much different loh.....
just want to and one more bullet do reduce the noisy abit more...

coltrain: n1 style very noisy one ler...either it is low beam or high beam...low beam not that attracting....

i prefer sound of HKS muffler.......too bad all its muffler very big size....

hi i'm a newbie here, can someone tell me wat kind of exhaust is suitable for vtec b20b.

bro coltrain, u dont have to worry much in fact... a'pexi N1 has gone trough dB test to ensure it passes the JASMA certification... if not mistaken is around 95dB... just like all JASMA approved muffler... all must go trough the desibel test... unless the a'pexi N1 is a fake 1 lar.. then no comment... but do take note that, some a'pexi exhausts are without JASMA tag...

hmm...JASMA tag ?
u mean got a plate write JASMA there ?
my one only got the Apex'i tag....there only write Apex'i ,serial number and Made in Japan like that only....
so is real one or fake one ?
