Moding help!!!!!

Hi sifus,

I need your kindly advices on upgrading my ride, its a lancer Evo 8MR.
Let me list down the basic upgrade I've done so far, I've install :-

1.Tial waste-gate
2.Full exhaust system
3.HKS BOV
4.Blitz Air filter stainless steal
5.Apexi RSM
6.Autogauge :- Boostmeter, ext Temp , tacho and Vacum

that's bout it this upgrade was done by previous owner, I'll like to know if anything else can be done to upgrade this ride... Pls advice.

ps: just wanted to know bout Greddy Info Touch, is there any good installing that meter?

Waa... FQ-350 very good already lo... I'm just amazed how Mitsu engineers squeeze out 400hp from 2.0L. And they sell it with 3 years warranty... Means that power can be run reliably... Evo's ftw... I don't understand why some of my friends keep complain about their modded evos being not reliable... :hmmmm: engine blown... leaked... this and that... Most of them switch to subaru or toyota's 1jz. If so unreliable how come at UK they can make 400hp with 3 year warranty? :stupid:

skyboy : since u own an evo8MR, i guess nothing much u could do as all the goodies are installed.
unless youre willing to invest on the engine internals, change forged conrods, pistons, crankshaft etc......

how bout your ecu? already changed?
upgrade to haltech or hks fcon.

veloc : if i own an evo 5 or 6 im damn happy edi. cannot dream of owning FQ350. too damn expensive.....some ppl overestimate the power of evo, thats y they blow their engine.

My ECU is stock standard... how much u tink is halteck or Fcon wud be....?
Im currently using manual boost.. lookin fwd to change to HKS EVC6 ... and changing to Tanabe exhaust system...

I got few sugestion from MECH askin me to change the inter-cooler, inter-cooler piping and use e-manage piggy back.. not sure why? any advise

u should just go for a reflash first and see what the stock ecu can do
the stock ecu has been proven to be able to handle up to a 1000WHP

if u use standalone like fcon & haltech, u no need piggyback like emanage edi...
your intercooler & pipings already cun ma, y need to change.
unless if your using those rubber ones, then can change to SS ones.

which model from tanabe? go for super dragger or blitz nur spec ler....more garang abit.

u got join MLOC anot? got more sifu over there can advice u on your mods.

Where can i re-flash my ECU ?
Im not sure bout the tanabe exhaust.. HKS drager its a monster but wit my current exhaust i kena tahan JPJ twice trafic polis 3 times... till went home dry.. lol

Im looking forward for oil coller kit but no sure which one i sud go for...
have any of you'll heard bout Mishimoto brand...

haha..depends on luck bro, since yours is orignal sports car, most likely when kena tahan they will let u go, unless those modified cars will kena la.

next time when u coming to a roadblock, u remove all your $$$ & leave rm10 inside enuf. they will sure take it wan. if u have couple of RM50 inside then u habis la. sure kena at least rm100-200.

for oil cooler, hayden should be suitable.

maybe the admin bz. u just pm leslie.

hahaha well said.... once i got to leave my ic and went to witdraw from the atm n paid them 50.... only then they gave me back my IC...

anyweis is Tanabe SMR Racing Medilion is ok for evo 8 mr...?

if me ah? i will say, my balance got only rm30, i can withdraw rm10 only, u take it or leave it haha.

tanabe SMR racing seems ok......the louder the better haha.
