Change crank without changing block can? So it's supra pistons, 4G64 crank or which engine's crank? Original conrods? Sorry bro, I'm a bit confused here. Honestly, 7K is really stretching it man... I just thought that since i'm going to open up the engine, i want to make sure that i don't do something that i'll regret later cos it's not everyday that one gets to do it unless got a lot of $$$ :p

Bore-up max i heard is 87mm for evo block. That comes up to less than 2100cc only gan get 20XX cos original evo is only 1997 i think...

Hi guys,
Just update ok? 2.4 parts Can take up to 800+hp
After market racing forged pistons new S$1200+/set
After market conrods used S$1200/ set
After market crank S$2200.
I think aftermarket 2.4 is really out of the question alerady...
Any one got good suggestion/alternative?

well... depend how much budget you got. RM7k quotation would be:-
microtech LT10S c/w X4 ignition module, 2.2 kits, valve sit, metal gasket plus installation fee. of course inclusive of tuning.
others part will be original stock.e.g. intercooler, exhaust, gearbox, timing belt and bearing.

4G64 block, stamp 4G63 number on it. The former is 6mm higher that the latter. Can't tell much except on Wira, u can't close the bonnet without whacking a hump on it. For Galant VR4 chassis, direct drop-in. Problem is, very difficult to find 4G64 block and even if u do, chop shop will CHOP u nicely.

another problem, it's an NA engine. once u use 2.4, sure u want to whack kow kow. so must make sure the internals are ready for big boost

khoyos: Yeah. U need to install forge internals to take advantage of the new block. It's like a complete rebuild. Which means, it ain't going to be cheap for everyone. I say at least RM 10k.

Hi georgett,
Looks like your 2.2 alternative is quite attractive, 2188 cc should be quiet an increase in torque already. Hope you don't mind me asking a few questions abt the 2.2 kit you talked about.
1) What pistons r u using, Forged? I heard original supra pistons are forged.
2) Pistons new or re-used?
3) What conrods, new or re-used?
4) Re-profile crank is use back my crank?
5) LT 10s can control 8 injectors?
6) X4-module, Whats that?
I'm seriously considering this alternative, if all goes well we might be able to post our progress share our progress with all our fellow ZTHians. What say you?:)

buy a good vr4 block from kedai potong, install big turbo with supporting mode and there you go.....what kind of torgue figure you looking at? there is many torgue monster turbo around, you just have to find a good tuner. There is a many succes story with a std block rather than stroked engine.

last week ago, i have been called up by KC to detail a Porsche Cayenne. this is not a normal Cayenne you can see on the road, this Cayenne tuned by TechArt Magnum RS has a 4.5cc V8 turbo inside the hood which produce 500hp, so this Cayenne is a really rare exotic car i ever seen in my life. moving any further, this car being carefully clean with OPC and followed by wash with ONR. wheels also being properly clean with OPC by Seech, claying and engine detailing was done by KC, interior and...
