advise needed(funny problem)

hi all sifu,

i need some help a very funny thing happened to my car, usually if drive long period, distance or very fast the water tempreature will drop to 30 -50c normal is 90c is is ok or not? my car is 4g54 2.6L petrol

p/s i know tht water tempreature goes up is bad but if go down is it ok? any effect on my car? any sifu or mech familiar with this prob?:hmmmm:

i think u either have a jammed thermostat, or sumone has throw away urs (OR engine didnt come wit any, which is not likely). thermostat is used to regulate the engine's temperature for it to perform at its optimum level

plus, if ur engine's temp is too low, the cold start valve may intrepret dat ur engine needs to warm up summore, and supply more den needed fuel just to achieve dat. colder temp doesnt damage ur engine (at least not as much), but u r way better off wit an engine dat operates in its proper opreating temp:sleep:
