That specific part is the butterfly controller part. But usually if that's broken its easier to just replace the throttle body

all i know is that it's connected from pedal to tb where it controls the butterfly, the only problem that i can think of is the spring has gone stiff maybe. even in wiki it doesn't state the name, it's just state "On many cars, the accelerator pedal motion is communicated via the throttle cable, to activate the throttle linkages, which move the throttle plate"

means we cn do it by our own?or recommend to ask workshop to do it?
Since your mechanic ask to change the TB looks like you need to find another mechanic to clean it, since the first one might not do it.

I did not have the tools initially. Recently got them and did for my spare old car with 180k km on it.

Meaning once you lift off your accelerator the idling starts to drop below 800rpm and feels like wants to die off? If yes I think your TB is just dirty. It doesn't look like a modified TB or anything (unless you did some porting and polishing inside the TB) so you probably only need a clean.

hv no confident to it by own..haha
If that's a Wira, it's fool proof. You can't screw anything up.

- Disconnect the sensor on the rubber air intake first.
- Using a size 10 wrench or socket, loosen the clamp holding the rubber intake connected to your TB.
- Using throttle body cleaner (I recommend CRC brand - about RM15 a bottle), just spray onto the now exposed TB mouth. Using your hand, turn the butterfly open to expose the inside portion of the TB and spray that too.

If you like, use a piece of cloth to wipe it too. If you spray a lot, just note that initial startup might be a bit hard but just keep cranking and pressing the accelerator to clear off the carbon or TB cleaner residue.

- Once done put everything back including the sensor and you're done.

It's a very simple DIY

Hello guys, I accidentally scratched my dad's 2005 Honda Accord front bumper today against a ridiculously high road kerb (or is it curb?). Well, I gotta admit, it is my fault, my driving is not up to standards.. whatever. The front of the car is too long, and my dad's sitting position is too low, that's why I didn't judge properly.

Anyway, I am here to ask if anyone knows of a product that can remove these scratches??? If I can't remove, can I at least do something to cover up the...
