hey all, as i know to choose a suitable tyre actually is not hard..
the most important thing is you need to know what you prefer when selecting tyre
for me i prefer comfort driving, sometimes some sporty performance..i wish i can have 2 in 1 feature of tyre...but currently i still cannot find it...

Max performance for
Bridegstone = RE11, RE01R, RE070
Michelin = Pilot super cup

S001 = performance but not sacrifice comfort, same as PSS.

Toyo T1Sport is performance + comfort, but in average.

Those above BS tyres are Extreme performance already. Michelin call their Sports Cup Streetable Track & Competition. Those more towards semi slick like Advan A048

Ideal tyre can still get, unless individually you set the target too high. Then like dream tyre already....

Before we go into prices, what is your tyre size?

Toyo T1-Sports are Toyo top range passenger tyres, Sizes starts from 16"

PSS are Michelin top range passenger tyres too, sizes starts from 18". Michelin track tyres are the Pilot Sports Cup (PSC), now PSC2

Yup, comfort and sporty. 2 in 1 still possible, 4 in 1 then difficult.....:hmmmm::biggrin:
4 in 1, comfort, quiet, performance and high treadwear = Advan DB? :biggrin:

Michelin XM2.

Sporty performance.. I doubt you will be hugging apexes and accelerating out corners with racing lines on public roads. It's good enough. Don't listen to the idiots who ask you to buy semi slicks..comfort my ass...

XM2 for normal drive okay but once threadwear reach about 50-60% left, becomes really noisy.
More like eco tyres. But Ecopia grip feedback is better than XM2 even though both are eco tyres.

So, normal drive or performance drive, I ban XM2 from the list already :rofl:

You all go for top branded mah! Michelin not say not good, PS3, PSS all very good mah! but expensive only. Even your XM2 I think not cheap, right?
Anyway, any tyre reach 50% should be nosier and performance would have dropped, especially aquaplaning as the thread pattern already half gone...

Performance my foot! Rubbish in the wet and useless in the dry! Unless you drive 90km/h max regularly I wouldn't recommend this tyre. And imho, any tyre above 100km/h will be noisy. Db included!

Michelin XM2.

I agree with XM2. Not too bad and quite reasonably priced

But dunno why my PP2 thread still looks fine, just maybe the rubber hardened than b4 but still can grip well. Just slight diff when it was brand new. 2 years tyre iinm till date.

Ya XM2 not cheap. That's why some friends went for Ecopia and it was better according to them.

Is expensive for XM2. RM230 a piece for 185/60/14. Doesnt grip too well for me. Normal drive yes, some hard cornering then nope.

Random Post Every 5 Minutes

Hi All,

I am wanting to convert my wira 1.5 engine (dah nak mampus, don't bother asking me to overhaul) to a MIVEC engine. Problem is, I don't know where to start.. I know I should look around at the potong shops but as a newbie memang they potong me.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone in KK, Sabah who has done this type of conversion (mesti banyak punya) to help me out. Was thinking EVO3 but.. too much power..

Thanks in advance!
