Reboring throttle body

maxx hope you dun mind if i borrow your thread.

reboring TB is to allow better and smoother air flow am i right? so how about reboring the exhaust header? will it give the same effect as well?

no problem.
never seen people rebore header. coz usually change to aftermarket one, already large enough.

porting or port n polish (pnp) usually done at head inlet/outlet.
porting is to enlarge the opening n polish to make the surface smooth.
maximum polish usually done at exhaust/outlet to reduce carbon buildup n smooth exhaust flow.

im looking for place to "port n polish" my engine throttle body. hehe

stock tb is 35mm. yep, very small. wanted to rebore maximum to 40mm.

yes.
40mm is the maximum safe limit to my tb.
btw, coolant line below the tb for fast idle warming up also has been by pass.
no more hot running coolant at the tb.

hey guys, im a real newbie to the car modification world so im after some advice
ive got an old 1968 toyota corona that i want to fix up and turn into a bit of a screamer
i want to put a new engine in it, but dont know what my options are...
im thinkin hopefully a high power 4-cylinder...
but really dont know what will fit and what wont
