If your oil change interval on time you actually don't need to flush. Beside chemical flush you can use cheap lighter viscosity oil to flush also.

basically, I agreed with VR2, I don't do flush..

just make sure the engine oil are changed at every 10k or on time.
personally, I feel the flush will do harm than good..
damaging the seals etc..

For turbo engine, I actually recommend earlier OCI. My VR engine never pass 10k km those days but still looks dark inside. I think change at 5 to 7k km better. NA can go 10k km, engine not as hot....:driver:

noted, I doubt I can hit 10k per year..
haha
after overhaul, very good to drive.. very efficient..

last time, 1 day I can use up half tank or a quarter in city drive.
now not even close..

Oh! if you don't hit 10k km per year then better change every 6 months......lol

although engine oil are cheaper in sg, but cannot be so wasteful bro..

once a year, I will still send for check up, change of E O
fully synthetic only.
Shell helix ultra is going like SGD40 for 4L in Sg

Is standard schedule, even car manufacturer set 10k km or 6 months. This is due to contamination of the oil. The less you use the car, the more likely water vapor is formed. Of course it is up to you whether you want to change in 6 months or 1 year....:driver:

Helix Ultra during Tesco sales time around RM149, sometimes even cheaper.....

Hi all

The throttle body seems had no improvement after :

1) done d throttle body servicing & its timing go up & down again(particularly on the hot day driving)
2) changed used FICD, also no help....

Can a Throttle body can be repaired?...
What is my next solution?....changed a used or new TB?.....

Thx

Hey guys, I just sent my car to overhaul my auto gb in Rawang. Well, what can I say about our inferior gearbox....Anyway, I will update you guys on how's the workmanship of this workshop. After all, sharing is caring right? Hopefully will be beneficial you guys.

Hi Guys...

Just wanna know, any recommendation for engine oil for Twin Turbo? brand? Specs? engine has clocked around 120,000 km.

what eo/spec ur using now?

during my 6a12 i changed from semi castrol magnatec 10w40 to shell helix semi 10w40..better butt feel than the magnatec.

as for 4g63t..been using LM FS 10w40 previously..now using FS 10w60 , change viscosity due to oil loss when driving like pelesit. require 3 time topup for 8k mileage..10w60 so far not need to.

any good EO would do i guess. since v6 turbo like r35, why not try Mobile1?:burnout:

I got partner dy, am using HDEO also. Pennzoil 15w-40 CH-4/SL....:driver:
yak yak yeay.. ada geng..

now on my third bottle of Pennzoil LLG 15w40 CH4/SL
before this PetroCanada Duron, Addinol Super LongLife, 76 Guardol ECT, Kendall Super-DXA, Kixx D1, Caltex Delo, Sukimi MaxiGlide.

Fuh! you use long time dy, Mine 3rd bottle of Pennzoil but 7L bottle, so can use 5 times. Used to read about HDEO from other members. Most using Caltex delo 400. They even buy 18L bucket for cheaper use.....lol:biggrin:

Hi guys. This thread is inactive but I thought I’ll try my luck. Anyone knows what is the ECU code for 6A12TT? The one I have is 0456 but I saw online some sellers selling 0563. The problem is I’m having check engine light after my transplant.

Did you scan your obd to find out what code on your check engine light?
