Mini has just released a short film that's rather reminiscent of a movie that hit the big screens in 1969 with Michael Caine and then remade again in 2003 with Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron as the main cast - It was none other than the movie "The Italian Job".

<!--more-->This round, it features the likes of former English Gold Medalists:-
- Daley Thompson (Decathlon gold medalist 1980 Moscow Olympics)
- James Cracknell (Rowing gold medalist 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Olympics)
- Jonathan Edwards (Triple jump gold medalist 2000 Sydney Olympics)
- Matthew Pinsent (Rowing gold medalist at the 1992,1996, 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games)

In the short film, Cracknell, Edwards and Pinsent are seen to be working for Thompson 'the ringleader' as members of an elite squad, who get contracted out to track down and apprehend a cat burglar on a scrambler that's got a 'thing' for gold medals (played by supermodel Jodie Kidd)

The film starts with radio chatter and it follows a call to Thompson, supposedly made by the British Prime Minister, for a request to mobilise the Mini boys - who help Jodie tear up the streets of London. Simply crackers innit?
