Initially there were rumours circulating saying that there’s a new Mini John Cooper Works GP in the pipeline. Looks like this round, its true!

<!--more-->Due to make an appearance at the Mini United Festival in France this weekend, Mini has yet to disclose any specifics or interior shots. Rather, they’ve merely indicated that it’s capable of lapping the Nurburgring with a fastest time of 8min 23s, which is pretty darn commendable.

Much like its predecessor, the GP-spec get some weight reduction by loosing it’s rear seats and then its engine gets crammed with more power and it’s suspension stiffened for more mechanical-grip performance. In fact, much of its improvements come in the form of race-spec suspension and brake upgrades.

Of course there’s going to be some obvious indicators that this is a GP-spec Mini and best of all, new owners get to have some carbon fibre as well in the form of a cool looking rear-spoiler. We can’t have it looking much like a regular JCW model now could we? Didn’t think so.

The upcoming JCW GP will be packing 214bhp rather than the usual JCW’s 208bhp. According to Mini, only 2,000 units will be built and sold globally.

Yo Mini! Throw us a few this way ok?

Thinking to change my brake DIY, undestand that the oil is drain out from the brake caliper at the tyre whereby there is a rubber nipple, and using a spana #8 to turn the screw to open the valve and let the oil come out...

the part im not sure is, 1 person have to pump the brake at the driver seat and hold and the other person have to do something at the caliper side.... can anyone advise in details on what is the procedures? thanks!
