Check the power supply to your HID's is sufficient. HID requires alot of power to the ballast. Also make sure the grounding too.

Any reasonable mechanic should be able to test this out.

Well, most HID's are made in China anyway ... but I do know those extremely low priced China HID's lifespan is about a year to two only ... Some would fail on the bulbs, and some on the ballasts ... :banghead:

And the catch is, replacement bulbs cost almost as much as the complete unit. So, you might as well change the whole system instead :listen:

Hi,

just want to contrbute.
Blinking HIDs can be due to insufficient voltage or amps, the initial amp draw on a 35W HID kit is about 10+ amps and gradually drops to about 3.5 amps when it's warmed up, provided 12-13 volts.

if your electricals are checked out fine, then you have to check the bulb, i would highly recommend that you do not test a failing bulb in the open as HID bulbs will blow, you can try the same bulb on a different but same wattage ballast, if it runs then the problem lies in your ballast. if not then it's the bulb easy.

try 4300K bulbs or below, i believe most cheap bulbs are 6000k above. but 4300k bulbs are more expensive from my experience.
