BCR, try the hose suggested by speed2horizon. The hose with spring coiled inside. I'm using it for my OCT also but mine is clear type. I bought it at hardware shop but it's less expendable so you will need quite some force to fit it and clamp it.

For my setup I just connect 1 hose from the cam cover to the OCT then the return hose I just drain it and not back to the intake. Inside the OCT I put in a lot of metal washing sponge..it's like those metal coil from engineering shop when they machined stuff. I use that to increased the area for the oil vapor to condense and to make sure the oil vapor is not escaping the OCT too fast. Previously before I put in those metal sponge, I can see oil vapor coming out from the outlet of the OCT. So I thought can put something into the OCT like a filter to trap the vapor.

Owh ok. No wonder I cant fit the teflon to my oct connector when i was at the hose shop. Didn't know it has 2 types. About the clear PU hose, will it last as long as the fuel hose?

Which hole you connect it to? mine, i connect it on the driver side. PCV - OCT - Manifold. Nothing is done on the breather hole.

Is there anyway i can use the braided hose & AN fitting without weld/modify the rocker cover outlet?

I just realize the one that i use was not the same type. Yours have the cloth thingy inside it while mine doesn't have any. Thats why the hose fail to hold the pressure.

Hope you don't mind me asking these question.

1. Why seal it off with a rubber cap instead putting a small breather filter?
2. From my understanding, your setup is like this : PVD - OCT - Drain out . Did you seal off the manifold inlet as well? & why drain it instead of connecting it back to the manifold?

1. Why I seal off? personal method...you can opt for a breather filter.
2. I drain it because I don't want anything recirculating back into the intake hole and to the throttle body because I believe even with OCT there is still s small amount of oil vapor that will get passed the OCT and back into the intake hole building up a layer of oil film...sooner or later..your TB will get stickier and a lot of dust will stick at the butterfly valve and intake plenum....giving you a sticky TB affecting performance also...

BCR, I use a rubber stopper to block the intake hole for the breather filter. Refer pic

If I'm not mistaken, bro TitanRev have the OCT at the breather hose to the intake ram... Not the intake manifold. But he chose not to connect back the outlet from the OCT back to the intake ram. By doing this, it reduces the restriction of the breather. However, the left open nipple/hosetip at the intake ram where the breather is supposed to be relocated has to be closed. Especially for engine with Karman/Vortex sensor where the nipple is located after the sensor. If not close, will cause inefficiency in the Air flow calculation. For MAP, it's also good to close it down to prevent dust entry.

If close down the manifold, there'll be air stavatio during closed throttle. At 0% throttle position, only the idle valve is providing air and it's not sufficient to keep the engine running. Will notice rough engine idle.

I once accidentally forgot to connect the hose from the PCV to inlet manifold & the engine idling went higher than normal. From that experience, it makes me think that its the best location to install my OCT setup. Hence my setup : PCV - OCT - Manifold :biggrin:

On te hose size question, the bigger the better. It makes ur engine feel lighter. AN10 would be nice. 3/8 hose also ok.

That's the reason why I'd suggest to put it on the breather->intake ram(between TB-air filter). Reason is, it doesn't disturb the Manifold Absolute Pressure. And, u can't enlarge the pipe size since there is a non return valve and the size is fixed.

i put OCT at breather - intake ram but theres not even a drop of oil in the OCT...only oil stain..thats y i tought my set up was wrong...but i surf through the net, i found that some put 2 OCT... 1 for breather-intake ram and another one PCV - intake manifold

Same experience here. That's is also one of the reason i relocate it to the pcv - manifold instead.

Oh, forgot to mention about this earlier. When i went to my friends garage the other day, asking about the braided hose thingy, he mention that if he were to do the hose, he will close of the manifold inlet, use a T connector to connect PCV & breather hole while another hose back to the intake ram pipe.

He claim that by doing this, I will recycle the air inside the instead of clogging the manifold.

Is this true?

I guess the engine will have rough idle. Haven't try it before... But, engine will need a certain air amount of air for idling during the close throttle. So, the air from the PCV will be used for idling. That's why there'll be a non return valve on the PCV.

I think so too. I kinda hate the idea of "recycling" the air inside the rocker cover.

can any1 show me the pic of OCT on campro engine..i'm interested to have 1 but i dunno where should i connect it..mb with some pic from some1 aledi put it will help me to install my OCT..
