3 cylinder not stable in idling but power
4 cyclinder very smooth power not good as 3 cyclinder
DVVT - can get the engine very lucky and will be damn expensive if got one
turbo - a lot now, spare part also no need to headache..

r u lukin for a turbo engine? L2 nowadays getting few due to obselete production from japan, but as i know L2 half cut now around RM1600 to RM2500..correct me if i'm wrong.
 
i been driving a kancil converted L2, it is a good partner whenever go to work or town driving..good response engine despite its a 8 years old now..
 
i am driving stock kancil 660N/A...:P

me drive 660 kancil.....N/A.....now day half cut very expensive edi.
 
the rule of performance & mod below 1.3cc very power full engine is 3 cylinder
 
from my personal opinion to all k car owners, don transplant ur engine unless u calculated all da consequences e.g resale value, maintenance, suspension, braking system..etc, sometimes v juz nid to keep simple and sweet & be cool if v bullied by 'bigger size' coz i met some of small car owners which quite loaded but very very low profile...
 
for kancil... it's resale value aren't high... make it a playcar if u have another car to drive... infact, it's a fun car...

but if tat's ur main and only car... better let it be as it is...

dats rite bro, i tried askin around to trade in my L2 kancil, most of 2nd hand car dealers offered me rm9k, crazy....so change plan to keep drivin it til totali rosak.

i hav kancil fully convrtd to L5... n spent alomst 25k for the car... LOL

Me also using L5 but Auto.. but not that much la.. damage near to 10k onli.. using ori body back..
 
for me any capacity will do...NA 660 or 850,1000cc is gud for town drivin, squeeze in and out..
 
to mod a carb 660 or 850cc quite limited.i used to upgrade a 850 b4 1converted to L2,i installed performance filter, higher lift cam, lighten flywheel to 7.8kg, 3 to 1 extractor, port and polish, spend alot but still canot feel a punch from the engine..but much better during launching..so..end story, decide to convert to turbo..so if u want consider to modify ur carb, my advice is better keep it as stock
