Winner Takes Home RM100k from "Shell Pays your Utility Bills” Contest!

First there were nineteen contestants from around the country who made it thus far for the running to win the Final Grand Prize of RM100,000 cash and a 5-year supply of Shell Helix Ultra.

<!--more-->During the final event of “Shell Pays Your Utility Bills” contest, one Ahmad Faiz Abdul Muvin (34 years old) from Nilai, Negeri Sembilan was crowned the Final Grand Prize Winner when he defeated the 18 other finalists at the Blue Concourse of Sunway Pyramid shopping mall.

“When my name was announced, no words could describe the feeling I was going through. Initially, when I won RM20,000 in Week 1, I was already very thankful for the pleasant surprise. I knew I was going to be a part of the Grand Finale but never really expected to walk away with this windfall of RM100,000 cash and be free from paying utility bills for a good few years. In addition, I’ve also made 18 new friends along the way, in this challenge. Thanks to Shell for such a wonderful and unforgettable experience!” said Ahmad Faiz Abdul Muvin, a civil servant.

Shoppers at Sunway Pyramid gathered to watch the contestants battled it out for the grand prize as well as members of the media to give, who all cheered and supported; waiting in anticipation to see who would be the Final Grand Prize winner of this year’s first contest, “Shell Pays Your Utility Bills”.

The 10-week “Shell Pays Your Utility Bills” contest was launched nationwide in February by Shell, in order to promote their Shell FuelSave 95 fuel and motorists only needed to to pump a minimum of RM30 of any Shell fuels, purchase lubricants or any Shell Select items, then fill up a contest form and drop the contest form with the purchase receipt attached in order to enter the contest.
