miata single coil

hi guys, i wanna ask 1Q..

my ride - ford laser with bpt inside (standard no mod done yet)

can i exchange my current distributor to the above mentioned coil which came from mazda miata 1.6L?

any mod to make this working?

I've seen the B6 coil pack being used on the BP engine, which is essentially the BPT without the turbo, but it retains the B6 ECU because the coil firing order is the same. What ECU are you running?

i'm using the bpt ecu bp26c.

I tried looking at this forum : www.fordlaser.com, but couldn't locate anything exactly on point.

I'm guessing that you're looking to do a distributor to coil pack conversion. Came across this thread on another forum (they talk about the BPT, but suggest an ECU change. Not sure if the astinagt uses the same ECU) :
