Ey, PCMod, I think I believe leh... coz maybe for the first 100m, the 4A-FE maybe infront of the BT lar. The BT auto's lower revs are really pathetic, I tell you, serious.

If you put the pedal to the metal; so to speak, at a traffic light duel, it's worse ! It'll "drown", you get what I mean, choked. It's better if you floor it gradually, then not so bad. That's why I said maybe the e-manage will be able to help tune it to achieve a better air:fuel mixture at lower revs to prevent it from choking when being floored.

Hi,all bro.I'm using svt,hv install safc2 n auto timer on it.My question is,the a/f ratio show on my timer is it accurate? Can using it to tune afc?I hv try it b4,when i +fuel,it shown 12.++.More +fuel,it getting low.But after few second,it resume to 14.7.Izit o2 sensor feeback to ecu to make it that? How bout if i interrupt signal to ecu?N any problem if i do like tat?Another question,my svt is AT ecu with MT gearbox.Any diff between AT&MT ecu?I mean the setting n performance inside ecu? Thanks

Standard 02 sensor is narrow band and it is not advisable to tune base on narrowband sensor, but u may use it as a rough reference.Basically you can use your ears to tell whether the mixture rich or lean,if u add more fuel, the rpm will rise but after certain point it will saturate,or even get back down again.Too much fuel the engine will feel heavy..Auto and manual ecu have different settings, mainly on the low revs..

e-manage first, port polish need to remove head, take a lot of time, and if done wrongly will damage the head,as well as the low end performance,p&p also not cheap...

If you do yourself then it's cheap, but it will take some time to do it nicely.Just spend money buying a few grinding stones and new head gasket (or a top gasket set)..maybe a few hundred RMs.Do not overport the 20v head, you will suffer low end torque..no point you get power gain at 7k-8k rpm but losing 1-3k rpm for a daily driver.

E-Manage first ? Meaning after port & polish, no need to re-tune ? :hmmmm:

For polishing, I understand the need of for the grinding stones but for porting also use grinding stone ? You sure, bro ? :hmmmm:

Do not over port meaning how big ? How do you justify the port size ?

Please teach me, bro.:adore: Thanks.

Yes,after port polish need re-tune e-manage

Grinding stone is for porting, flap wheel for polishing, and further using finishing wheel if want more good surface. If want to remove a lot of metal then use file.

Porting is a black art,so no way i can say how much to remove, how big...sometimes its the shape that matter..thats why every tuner have different results, the objective is to improve airflow,it is good to check the airflow first before porting and after porting. You need a flow bench to do that..

If we need to re-tune the e-manage after P&P, then why install the e-manage first ? In that case, we'd have to fork out money to re-tune it again, wor.

What is "flow bench" ?:hmmmm:

I also found out from the Club 4AG site that the BT's ports are factory polished. Meaning it's already polished by the factory. So no further polishing is required, unless you think you can do a better job that the factory lar...Hehehe.

Pls refer to this site to check for further info:

Haha, sorry ...my bad,i forgot the tuning fees (i tune myself so that wouldnt count,so i forgot bout tuning fees)

Flow bench is a device which u can measure the airflow through your cylinder head, you can buy one but its not cheap,or perhaps can diy...Search for 'Superflow' in yahoo...

Hahaha. No wonder lar, you talk like as if it's so easy. You're sifu mar, you can tune yourself. We amateurs have to pay people to tune it for us, so we've to consider about the fees.

Thanks for the explanation, bro:wink:. No way I can DIY a complex job like that. :listen: Change spark plugs or headlight bulbs can lar. Hehehe.

It's polished, bro. Not ported. Hehehe. I think unless you're very sure of what you're doing or else you'd better leave it to someone who knows. I had a friend who ported his cylinder head in a DIY attempt (sent it to a foundry to port) but his own "secret recipe" spec lar. After the port & polish, not only the car no power, some more damn makan minyak !:laugh:

Last-last, have to fork out money to buy another head some more !

Random Post Every 5 Minutes

I have a Nissan sentra year 2003 and i had a lot of jerking issues. Basically i brought it to the shop to diagnose and its said to have sensor issues and they replaced the crank sensor and camshaft sensor and reconnected the ecu and it is still showing the same error so the foreman said the ecu is faults and he cant find a a replacement.
I need advice from how to go from here as my car is in melaka. Where is a place i can get an ecu?

Ecu code number is MEC13-411

Please help! still...
