The shop is within 1 KM radius of the Police station in old klang road, not sure what the machanic drive and where he operate his workshop before this, now he is driving a blue toyota. not sure if this is the same person we are talking about.

The issue is not settle yet, so will update once there is something new.

well.. its not about comdem them.. its just safety precaution to other new member especially ppl like me that dont know which workshop to go to..

prevent them from having the same dilema as urs..
listing down the location/name might saves innocent victims that spend thier hard earned money goes to waste like urs...

how will the forumers do is not a major concern.. its just ewveryone helping each other.

erm...
actually not to be a snoob but when the mechanic was fixing ur car, you should check the parts and components that he is using......it may be irritating to the mechanic but heck, we pay him the money, so it is our right to get a good job done our of it.........so you should not be afraid to ask the mechanic anythin even if it is even the stupidest or easiest question.........but wat the heck, we sumthin tend to forget about it and left all to mechanic to kautim........

I should not have put too much faith in the mechanic in the 1st place, that is also one of the reason why this type of things happen.

Faith has nothing to do with ppl conning you.. If you would not want any of us kena such "highly skilled" mechanics work.. I would suggest the name of the workshop be known to all..

IF by revealing the name of the workshop the shop close down.. You have done your part in protecting the market.. They shouldnt be BS-ing people anyway..

"be a man.. do the right thing"...

my 2cents worth..

wiraloh,

Bro, if you are reluctant to reveal the name of the workshop, might as well don't post in the first place. It's like telling people "I came across a booby trap in the jungle but I will not tell exactly where so you be careful, that's all".

We've heard plenty of stories like yours so it's nothing new to ZTH members. It'll be more helpful if you name the workshop otherwise stop whining as it'll not do you any good and besides some other unlucky dude will walk into the same trap and the shop is still milking our hard-earn money.

It's just my opinion.

I really symphatise with you bro...

I think you should tell us the name of the workshop to serve as a warning for all of us.

Say someone murdered a person and he come to hide at your house. Are you going to report him to police? Of course right!

This workshop cheated you and yet you're protecting him? I know you have connections with the boss but sometimes you can't protect everyone all the time. If the mechanic admitted to putting in a fake gb then you still can forgive him but from what I read he totally denied it.

I'm saying this cause my dad also kena before. He used to service his Merc (old one la...W123) at this workshop who cheats customers and perform shoddy maintenance and repairs. I think because he's quite close to the boss so he let him service his car for few years. Everytime he got his car back surely something will go wrong within a few weeks. In that few years, I think my dad spent close to 20k JUST ON FIXING THE SAME PROBLEMS OVER AND OVER AGAIN! You say cheating or not? I also heard some ridiculous story about that same workshop but I won't tell it here.

Point is, there are bad workshops out there and to prevent them from cheating our money, we as consumers should look out for each other. If such and such place got nice food surely you will share with your friends right? And if the food at such and such place sucks, surely you will tell your friends too right?

The workshop guy change back to me the MIVEC gearbox once i treaten him about going to make Police report,

The explanation he gave about the wrong gearbox is that halfcut shop gave him the wrong gearbox wo!. ( I Cant imagine how a 20+ year experience machanic can make this type of mistake???????? and he say he has done alot of MIVEC convertion before this...???? Very pro this guy!!.)

Now the new gearbox is much much better, but i still cant find the location where the gearbox code is located. anyone can tell me?

i believe our fellow forumer here has his reasons for not naming the shop, so lets not force him.( if he wants to say, i beleive he will)

What he said is correct, morale of the story is to be caution of conmens and shops. This acts as a reminder for everyone, some parts/items cost that amount of money, do not get conned by misleading conmens just to save the few hundred bucks and end up paying much more for the repairs...

Hello all the sifus,

I have been hearing alot of Thailand wastegates for sale at very interesting prices. Does anyone have any experience using such wastegates? Is it good, bad or downright ugly??
