This year will be the last year where Magny-Cours will host the F1 race for France.
The 4.411km racing track must make way for the new Singapore street track.
Too bad...:Not_Impressed:
This is one of my favourite track.

Poor Alonso, he had a broken gearbox during the last qualifying session.

what happen to Alonso? I think I missed it during qualifying. This is Alonso worst qualifying with the chrome bullet.

Kubica did a great job.

My friend and I believe that usually the F1 driver who cheated the death will come back to shine on the circuit.

Example,
Mika Hakkinen - Accident at Australian GP 1995, and come back with 2 back-to-back WDC title 1998, 1999
Michael Schumacher - Accident at British GP 1998, and come back with 5 back-to-back WDC title 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004

Kubica have the same feeling?
the formula above didn't work for 1 driver: RALF

poor alonso..he needs to overtake Jarno Trulli during starting coz this f'kin Italian always holds up faster cars behind him..that wouldn't be a problem if alonso has perfect launch control like renault's last year's car..

BS,
Alonso had gearbox problem, that's why he went back to the pit after doing the warm up lap for Q3.
What you said is quite true.
Maybe Kubica might finish on top of the podium today.

I think Trulli is merely defending his position, not really holding up the field.

But i suppose this circuit has overtaking potential, so its not a bad thing afterall for Alonso.

yeah, Ferrari on track again to challenge for World Championship

end result

1. Kimi Raikonen - Ferrari
2. Felipe Massa - Ferrari
3. Lewis Hamilton - McLaren
6. Fernando Alonso - McLaren.

in constructor points now, Ferrari trails McLaren by 25 points.

Just as people are starting to write him off (which is ridiculous in the first place) Kimi strikes back.

Based on yesterday's race, i have reason to believe that Ferrari will be strong for the British GP. There's absolutely no testing time in between so the teams are more or less running on the same car improvements from France. I seriously think Ferrari will nick it this time. And then the pressure of performing in the home race will be too much for Hamilton.

As for Alonso's race, he probably was the busiest man on the circuit. He was not quick enough whole race long and he kept getting stuck behind Heidfeld and Fisichella. He's a great entertainment provider though. Tough luck for him.

According to Lewis, Ferrari is not really that dominant as they seem to be last Sunday.
Lewis ultimately finish 32 seconds behind Kimi was due to traffic and his 3 pit-stop strategy.
Lewis started to drive conservatively once he realised that victory was out of reach when he was 20 seconds adrift at that time had gave Ferrari further advantage.
