The F1 GSD3 is indeed a good tyre. No doubts about it. However, it suffers in the cabin noise level. Plus, thiis Goodyear tyre tested here is probably the Made in Germany ones so it should be a good tyre. I think there are some Made in Thailand ones available in our market and some people say the Germany ones are so much better.

i'm enjoying the confidence in wet or dry. & mine from thailand.

done bfGoodrich gF-bridgestone geiii-falken azenis-yoko ado7.

only azenis comes close for me. ad07 is excellent on dry, Ef1 surpasses it in wet.
it really dances all over ad07 in wet.

Good Points
Fantastic wet weather ability. Good lifespan
Bad Points
Seemingly long scrubbing in period. Starting to be a little more audible after 20,000km
General Comments
This review is for a Thai production Goodyear Eagle F1 used in the tropics (and tropical rainstorms).. I purchased this tyre after using Falken's ST512. This tyre has excellent wet grip around corners and has sure footed stopping in the rain. I drive a sub compact (Nissan March /Micra K11) with 195/50/15 Eagle F1's. This tyre was chosen for its aggressive water channeling design and it has definitely lived up to its physical features. Dry weather handling is good too, perhaps just as good as most other high performance tyres. On purchasing, these tyres seemed to take awhile to scrub in. I used to get early warning squeals when going around bends. Though it was still gripping it 'complained' a lot. With further usage, this symptom went away. I am speculating that as this tyre was made for hot humid tropical regions the compound may be adjusted to this climate. These tyres definitely outlasted my prior Falken ST512 (which were really good tyres too). One thing to note is that my car is just around a ton in weight and rarely sees more than 110km/h however it does get pushed around street corners in migrane inducing speeds, so the biase of this review is for outright mid speed handling (60-100km/h) as opposed to high speed fast bends (130-140km/h). However there are no complaints with high speed (130-140km/h) touring with these tyres, the car has always maintained sure footedness and feedback. I would buy these again.

Personally, my days of using performance tyres are over. No doubt about the wet weather and superb handling of these tyres but they're way too noisy. If you ever drive along the NSE, you will know why. Either you get a real good sound proofing system in your car, or you use a more lower grade tyre.

I'm using Michelin XM1 now. Handling wise, its ok be it wet or dry. Part of the reason is also that i hardly ever whack corners anymore. Good point is, this tyres are real quiet compared to the ES100 i use to own.

Vlad, Hankook Ventus R-S2 to be exact. Read the report, it's not a poll and price is one of the factor. :_:
