Hi to all,

A couple of questions with regards to Evo3 engine...

1) Just recently sent my car to the workshop due to piston and piston ring damage which resulted in burning of engine oil and unable to boost. The tuning is fine with ample fuel (as of the time I got it tuned using Emanage)...
Only possible chance is when I did a misgear from third to second gear at 7000 RPM during a drag race. The alternatator belt split, after changing, drove my car, after some time start to ping and till it cannot boost above 0.5 bar...
Is it true that misgearing in a drag race can cause the psiton ring to blow?

2) Can an evo2 block with stock compression of 8.5:1 run smoothly using evo3 ECU? (Understand evo3 is using 8.8:1 CR... Cuz currently I might be changing to Evo2 block... Will there be any side effects or advantage or disadvantage using the Evo2 block but using Evo3 ECU?
