So the marketing for petrol stations are because of loyalty cards eh. I'm surprised nobody said royalty. :hahaha:

And this means petronas are for low cc cars hahaaha.
depend on car

A31 RB20E - Petron > Shell > Caltex > Petronas
Avanza 1.3 - Shell > Petron > Petronas > Caltex
Proton Tiara 1.1 - Petronas > Shell > Petron > Caltex
Proton Iswara 1.3 - Petronas > Shell > Petron > Caltex
Corolla EE90, 1.3 - Shell > Petronas > Petron > Caltex
Daihatsu Charade G11 1.0 - Shell > Petronas > Esso > Caltex

Esso/Petron cuz got loyalty card to exchange 3000pts for rm45 fuel! As for performance etc2., I've tried everything and honestly cannot tell much difference.
The exchange points recently went up, right? or was it for the lower amount exchange?

I used to be a Shell Loyal customer, but somehow find car is smoother with Petron. Not sure is psychology wise or what but somewhat
better. But Shell I realised it gives better mileage.

I pump petron now for smiles points. No longer want bonuslink as the points expired too fast and the thing to exchange, is just high points or expensive.
Smiles card can shop in Petron or Tiger Mart.....:driver:

Oh, you mean rm1 now get less than 1pt? I have not yet notice anything.
Sorry to confuse you.
What I meant was the exchange for RM45 fuel, I think is more then 3000 points now.
Oh! just checked. RM45 still 3000 points, they added RM10 (950) and RM20 (1600) which are higher in exchange...

Well, I don't experience any knocking with 95, so far my car runs fine with any 95 but of course except Esso/Petron, I only tried the other brands once or twice. :) But one of our Mark X Club member reported issues (but not knocking) when using Petronas for some time, which was cured after he switched to other brands.
Maybe it dosen't have any different on new cars, but for old cars some brands or shall i say some petrol station really felt the sluggish after pumping it.

I wonder dose weather/temperature when we pump cause different result. Petrol as know as Gasoline other country, hotter weather might get more GAS?:hmmmm:

Petrol evaporates under the hot sun. Reason why I always pump at early morning. I got almost 20km extra for the same amount petrol from the same pump station compare to afternoon or evening refill...lol.

There are also cases where the station adulterate the petrol that is why feel sluggish. Change station and see what happens..

Yup, there are a few others ways to pump.
One is to pump in the early morning as mentioned by you.

If you see a tanker delivering fuel, don't pump immediately there. When refilling the station tank, it will churn up the dirt at the bottom and you may be transferring these into your car tank

Pump slowly, means don't open full throttle from pump handle. This is to minimize vapor and bubbles being created.

Some say pump at station that is popular. Fuel gets stale too and the fresher the fuel the better

Then also some say refuel when tank is at half. The more empty your car tank, the more fuel will evaporate to fill the space.

<p>As much as modern cars go these days, sometimes it just doesn't cut it for some enthusiasts. To these blokes, a modern car like the Bugatti Veyron or the Pagani Huayra doesn't carry the same beauty and grandeur...
