hi everybody !!

i've heard & read alot of this shop called Powerzone from this forum as well as from a few Malay colleagues. I've been getting mixed signals about the quality of Powerzone.

I'm planning to get some modifications done on my car's engine...

Appreciate if you could share your experiences of Powerzone with me....tq

PowerZone is located in Glenmarie, near Shah Alam. Hhmm... or is Glenmarie part of Shah Alam? haha It's located quite far inside, though. On their products, I've not yet used their products before but they have some products on display at Eneos at One Utama.

here you go... try visiting their website... NS Performance Tuning Sdn Bhd (NSPT)

its actually quite easy to get there... if you are familiar with Glenmarie roads... then its right after BMW... keep left.... and you will turn into the shop area... they are one of the corner shops...

gt auto,
I seen their extrators at Eneos 1Utama. It's not entirely mandrel bent. I think they tried but still not good enough. There's still a bit of 'bottle neck' at the bends. But I think zth member kweng has mandrel bent extractors. Well, from the pics, it looks like it la. hahaha

I'll tell you when it's done, but 'good' compared to what exactly ?? I don't have any benchmark on which to base an evaluation and I don't race or drive performance cars...so....

Compared to the current piece of sh!t that I drive, of course lah it will be a big big difference like night and day.

Maybe we should plan for a trackday with tofu_manic, Northiswara and Skywalker's car side by side hehehe. I will still lose though on the same reasoning that you can drive a Ferrari against Schumacher in a Proton and he will still kick your ass.

hmm...how much would it cost for a totally standard 4g15 to be customed by most of the powerzone stuff to hit 118hp on wheel?

basically i'm interested to know if Powerzone is a trusted & reliable place to go to...

no point bringing it there, let the mechanics touch the car, then end up having problems here and problems there...

just looking for feedback...

What have you heard ?

As far as I know, having dealt with them and still dealing with them, they are reliable and trustworthy. My experience is they live up to their reputation as good people to work on your car.

I'm not sure what kind of performance you are hoping from them. For that, it is best you talk to them directly and see what they can do for you and whether they have what you are looking for. It's important.

Northiswara,

I think it is 140 bhp leh. Don't know how much that is in whp though. Or are they the same thing ?....I keep getting these two rates confused.

[edit] Oh wait....me blur blur...didn't see the article you posted. The dyno chart there shows about 118 hp at the wheels wor .......and 140hp on the engine

u mean that iswara is 140bhp? last time saw from a car magazine it says 140whp and a lot of ppl also jumping high reading 140WHP. maybe its 140bhp lar. not sure also.

bhp is not same as whp.
bhp=brake horse power
whp=wheel horse power.

Brake horsepower

Brake horsepower (bhp) is the measure of an engine's horsepower without the loss in power caused by the gearbox, generator, differential, water pump, and other auxiliary components such as alternator, power steering, and AC compressor. Thus the prefix "brake" refers to where the power is measured: at the engine's output shaft, as on an engine dynamometer. The actual horsepower delivered to the driving wheels is less. An engine would have to be retested to obtain a rating in another system. The term "brake" refers to the original use of a band brake to measure torque during the test (which is multiplied by the engine RPM and a scaling constant to give horsepower).

Effective horsepower / true horsepower / wheel horsepower

Effective horsepower (ehp), True horsepower (thp) or wheel horsepower (whp) is the power converted to useful work. In the case of a road vehicle this is the power actually turned into forward motion as measured on a chassis dynamometer.

"True hp" is generally 10% to 20% less than the engine's "bhp" ratings due to drivetrain losses.

Wheel horsepower (whp) is the more widely used term for effective horsepower.

Thanks for the clarification bro.

Anyway 140 whp put of that 4G15 seemed too good to be true. It's 140 bhp as far as I know and the dyno chart you posted above apparently confirm this to be the case...Run 1 (at wheels) (in red color):- about 118whp and Run 2 (engine) about 142+ bhp. I'll see if they can get more whp out of my car when Powerzone are done with it because I added in some more stuff that is not included in that white Iswara you listed.

Former FIA president Max Mosley is preparing to launch a "comeback", according to an Italian report.

The usually authoritative 422race.com website said the 70-year-old Briton, who headed F1's governing body for 16 years until 2009, is secretly planning with his supporters to "reduce the power" of his successor Jean Todt by proposing rules changes.

The coup will reportedly take place at the FIA's next general...
