I just want to know, how do u guys time the 0-100kmh performance on your car? Besides a complete stop before the timer has started, r u allowed to rev your engine before the stopwatch is started?

Just tried it a few hours ago with a friend holding a stopwatch along Kota Damansara. Car was at stanstill without revving the engine before the timer started. REally lousy results...heheh

Specs :- 1.8 4G93p sohc manual w/16in rims wira

1st time - Tire spin & lost grip due to wet road on 1st gear, recorded 15+ seconds.. almost 16 sec
2nd time - No tire spin recorded mid 12+ seconds

Any better way to test? For those who are experienced, what r your results & how did u test the time?

RESULTS FROM posts so far (fastest to slowest)

errmmm.....u r suppose to dial some revs b4 releasing the clutch....however, tat is the trickiest part of all.....must know the optimum rev where u can launch the car......too much rev n the tyres will spin.....too lil rev n ur engine will struggle.....i used to b able to clock 11++ secs in my 1.3 wira a/b....

oit yalar..
4g93 should be able to go faster la...

andydemarco,
yea there is 4g93 sohc..
on the wira aeroback, but it comes in auto..
so i assume that danny changed the gb. hmm?

well to get a good start...
maintain ur rev at 3K rpm and then release clutch straight away while flooring it
and gear shift is important too.. make sure dont lose ur rev or else itll slow down..
B)

i manage only to get 12secs on my stock iswara 1.3.. not good enough <_<

the most accurate way to get 0-100 reading is by using G-TECH pro, or apexi rsm with g-sensor.

Pls bear in mind that the speedo meter in every car 'lari' a bit. Average between 5 - 10 kmh faster than the actual road speed.

BTW, clocked my 318i using G-Tech Pro meter. 0-60mph (0-96kph) in 8.8sec (average of 3 runs)
