Though Malaysians like to bitch a lot, stay in Malaysia, and you are half way to victory in combating fuel price.

In Kazakhstan, where I am, fuel prices range between RM2.20 to RM3.20, with an average of about RM2.50.

I am considering to change to Mitsubishi Mirage, MyVi or Savvy or Hybird car, because use less petrol haha... my ford one right now, full tank is RM140, too pricey. Maintaining the car already not easy, need to send for service, parking, toll, now petrol also want to eat our wallets up. Hai... less yum cha gathering with friends lo.

Maybe another better option: get a wealthy wife.

I think no matter what we do to combat it, the fuel price will always be increasing until its final depletion. It is a losing battle.

Don't tailgate/draft/slipstream! Drafting is only beneficial if you really go high speed like in racing but is it worth the risk of accidents??
I remember, in a fuel saving competition (in Malaysia), Nissan Sylphy got 160km/liter...crazy eh?
By drafting a tanker...how fast would a tanker go? and how fast should he drive to get that number?

Its not a suggestion...its a way...

got to use cards that give reward points or discounts lo, that is the best way to reduce the increase in petrol price. Got use better than none. So far these are the better known I got from other website... can consider lo... the normal 2% discount is just too low.

Example of Cash Back Credit Card
• *OCBC Titanium MasterCard Card - Get cashback of 5% on Petrol
• *CIMB Bank Petronas MasterCard Platinum Card - Get Cashback up to 8% on Petrol
• *Public Bank PB-Esso Mobil Visa Gold Credit Card - Get cashback of 5% on Petrol
• Affin Bank BHPetrol Touch & Fuel MasterCard with PayPass - Get Cashback of 0.8% on Petrol plus Receive free RM20 petrol credit per approved
• AmBankCarz Gold Visa Card - Get cashback of 3% on Petrol & Earn Reward Point

Example Reward Credit Card
• Citibank Platinum Reward Point - Earn reward point for redeem prices

Travel Rewards Credit Card
• Citibank Premier Miles Amex - Earn Reward Point for redeem Air Miles
• RHB Travel Money Card - Earn Reward Point for redeem Air Miles

Hmm agree , since petrol so expensive, apply some reward card or cashback might help a lil but not really big different. we still need to pay alot for petrol anyway.. as u can see, i need to spend rm1.3k for petrol per month. i do use card too. for example, i use rm400 for petrol, then rebate 2% ( rm8) .. not big difference right ?
