spark plugs don't increase power or performance. Just get the one that suites your budget and get the right heat range. I personally like Denso iridiums

Those cars that are hard to service the plugs, better get iridium. For me, my NA Hyundai uses normal RM17 plugs, VR now on normal but will switch back to platinum, Forester with boxer engine need iridium......lol

Roger that. What's the price range for Denso Iridium

Haha I got u. If I didn't calculate wrongly, Iridium plug cost the same as the normal copper ones. But because u need to change copper sparks frequently, the labour cost is more

Haha the love for Iridium is strong. I wonder, if there's a different range of iriIrid plugs

All depends on brand. Denso and NGK iridiums are between RM150 to 180 for a pack of 4. They are supposedly 100,000km lifespan.

Platinums cost slightly more, above 200 if not mistaken.

Oh issit? Erm.. maybe I'm mistaken then. The Platinum Iridium Bosch plugs are not cheap though. Maybe because they are hybrid?
Platinum only RM60 per set. Platinum / Iridium is platinum core, iridium tip will cost a bomb.....lol

I remember reading that the iridium tough can last up to 100k km, not the normal iridium, right?

100k km is insane. Denso Tough claims that? I'd like to see that happen without any performance drop. That would be seriously be impressive

Why? I have used both and honestly can't really tell which one better.
In my use case, NGK didn't foul as easily as Denso. But just my personal feel la. But now I am using Denso cause easier to source.

I only tried Denso iridium before, because of the 0.4mm tip. First set lasted quite long but when car started to jerk, then change to 2nd set. 2nd set did not last long as one piece the ceramic chip off, then back to platinum due to costing..... :smokin:

Denso easier to source or your specific model of Denso is easier to source.

Never used Denso on my cars, so far only NGK stock, platinum, and Iridium. Now only on stock replacement. Last time (very long time ago) i buy a set of NGK platinum for RM40 and NGK Iridium for below RM100. i buy from distributor.

I have used Denso before on my EX5....didnt notice anything different in term of reliability.

Hello frenz,

I have some problem with my car engine. :hmmmm:
It will jerk/turn off while still moving when I press the clutch to shift from high gear to low gear and when slow down at trafic light. It happen quite frequent unless if I keep on accelerating the engine. This only happen when I turn on the aircond.
Fyi, I'm using engine Silvertop 20V that fix into toyota AE111.
Appreciate your help/idea on how to solve this problem.

Thank you.
