replacement engine for mitsubishi galant sigma

Hi,

Currently im having mitsubishi galant sigma 1.6 year 1983. Im thinking of replace the old engine to the new one. Im having some question here:

1) Which engine best suit to my galant sigma?? is it CA18 or RB20DET or SR20DET??

2) For rear disk brake, which type of disk brake(i mean which car) can be suit to my galant sigma??

If anyone knows and have experience before, let me know..Im seriously need the info because i wanna upgrade my OLD sigma..:)

1) ca18det will be nice... if got budget get the more powerful sr20det.... rb20det is abit overkill and high on fc...

2) not sure if vr4 disc brake front n rear compatible or not... if yes, that would be a good upgrade...

just put evo1,2,3 and convert da engine orientation,mods ds thorttle body location to other side.....sure nice....

To get the AE86 or silvia axle quit much cost..For me no need to drift..only want some power for my OLD car..:)

put in the engine you want and solve the gearing later....there's many choice of axle that can be mated with your car.....

ae86 LSD axle cannot support 2xxhp engines.... IMO, get silvia axle is good enough...

bro if u want to plug n play i have 1 halfcut sigma turbo GT 1982 bro....2liter turbo ECI single cam... half cut come 1 car includding roof,4door,rear bonet...includding kastam form n AP...price RM5.5k....if u like u can call me 0142998807....or come to my garage to see 1st....loc/kuantan....u can plug n play bro....no neet to mod driveshaft.... n 1 more it come with rear axel.....all item ORI sigma turbo gt 2liter...year1982......

Is that you show the engine is the galant sigma bay?? Look nice fit in it...But how about the modification..I it many thing to modified..??

yup..that a sigma engine bay. belong to one my friend. you just need to modify the tapak, position of the turbo and the water pipe. ;p Battery relocated to the back. GB if not mistaken, use back sigma cos i don quite remember already.

RB26 engine need to cut the chasis a bit. currently one sigma in my workshop half way "masuk" RB. My neighbor "masuk" 1j in his sigma. I also own a sigma planning to masuk turbo. Hope u can keep us updated on ur project for future reference. heheheh. :wavey:

I have one original (U.K spec) galant sigma engine .2.6 cc.This engine is using a silent shaft very quite engine even the r.p.m touch 6000 r.p.m and using a timing chain ..very high torque & top speed..cal me if interested 016-2722548 ..
