u said it... it is Pak Lah.. i never liked him as he is always late.the VIP thinks they are the special ones....that could afford to be late.
Reminds me of the politicians or vips among the govt. Normally, they arrive late at events, and they are the first to leave pulak...
How can these ppl be late? since they oredi have police escort that open jalan all the way for them???
Double standard? or they forgot to wear their Rolex watches to tell time??

It's the norm in many Malaysians and this is a shameful mindset indeed. While there are some job candidates who are late, I also hate the hiring person starting the interview very late. There was once an interviewer let me waited for an hour before he comes in.Appointment don't work these days.
Are people today don't care, not serious about keeping appointment? Or they dont have a sense of timeliness?
I have sat in for job interview on behalf my boss for the past 2 days. 50% of the shortlisted candidates either come late, some ill prepared for the interview and some even cancelled the interview last minute...What a bunch of time wasters....
Anyone here facing such problem?
Yes..and the ones who suffer the most are the receptionist...gotta wait until at least 80-90% then only can go to the eating table.Ken, you hiring people ka? me me me *Ahem*
Timing in Malaysia is mostly due to mindset. Thinking they can beat the traffic or not considering it at all. Or like the typical Chinese wedding dinner - the mindset is "aiya everyone else will be late, why must we be early?".
If I encounter parents who accompany their child to an interview, I'll prepare two forms for both of them to fill in. If milf then I'll interview her first. If dick then I'll call security.Consider lucky that you have not met those who come interview with their mum or dad. (usually mum)
They will sit in the interview room and get interviewed together with the son.
To me, if u need your mum to accompany you for interview, means u r not ready to even come to work or do anything big on your own..
Later need OT time, complain to mum, mum come and see the boss on why making the son OT.
Some parents really dunno what is in their skull.
On side note, I'm always on time for appointments/date hahaha! (Unless stated I'll be late)
At first i thought of only reading this. but this one point is damn funny. It's the norm in many Malaysians and this is a shameful mindset indeed. For Wedding usually will be on time but have to wait an hour plus for the other guests to arrive. The best I like is when the late comers arrive and got no place, then one seat here and one seat there....hahahhahahaKen, you hiring people ka? me me me *Ahem*

Those days then yes, guest come and seat as they like. Nowadays the host set once you confirm your RSVP....:rolleyes:To ensure punctuality, the wedding reception should use electronic counter....to dispense table ticket number to guests....
First comers, get better seats...
Late comers, get to seat behind column or near toilet...hahahahah
Just back from outstation 2 days back, and you are right. Once traffic builds up many use emergency lane.....Some Malaysian are selfish bunch....brought up by selfish parents naturally.
Just look at the cases of cars jumping cues in long line...We see it everyday in KL.
