Its quite good..seen one before..and there is a few more around Subang area..Dunno why the auto gearbox looked a bit weird if you install the auto version coz that shifter seems to be located higher than the old one..something like driving aeroplane..not sure whether can it be modded anot..
hi..

i've tried one Waja 2.0 V6 mivec before.. before i own my waja mivec... actually the car advertised in motortrader... yea, like WAJARS mention, the shift stick somehow place higher than usual.. from my short experience, i think it is a quiet powerful engine... wish had that one!
but thinking of maintenance of that engine... better go for mivec 1.6... less road tax and maintenance overall...

just my 2 cents

hi..

i just done my piping... from standet nearly 2-inch waja 1.8 piping to 2.2-inch from the flexible until the muffler.. i also replace waja 1.8 satndet muffler (twin tip) with custom one...

before this, can hardly heard the engine.. now can heard, but not too loud..
love it when MIVEC kick-in... :X-: :X-:

next step,
my next mod, i plan to do either this:

1. re-chipped
2. VAFC
3. SAFC

which should i do 1st?

please advice

1. Rechipped = Ok la, but make sure get a demo first. Takut later wasting money & your engine kaboomm (due to incorrect A+F ratio)
2. VAFC = No komen
3. SAFC = No need la, more good for turbo car.

aja,

thanks for the reply,

i talk to a mechanic, which is a fren of mine..
he suggested this..

1st do the re-chipped, the add SAFC to ensure the engine have correct A/F at higher RPM...

or

just install VAFC... basically to fine tune the engine...

which is the best setup?

i've been surfing APEX'i website a few time.. i read all the explaination about their products... but i need info from those who already use it..

comments & suggestions appreciated

cheers

In theory, Mivec V6 should be better cause with a V6 lines that provide higher low-end torque. But in real life, it's more for easy cruising (that y most of them came in auto tranny, not manual) , not really meant for performance due to it's a heavy crank that i's carried.

That y, if we notice nowadays, Japanese V6 engine is least popular for modders, as compared to V4.

As far as Mivec 2nd Vs. Mivec V6 concern...auto to auto... starting point normal Mivec 2nd Gen will go first a bit due to lighter crank+engine. After that , then V6 come to overtake until the topspeed. Stock to stock la, i meant.
Dude i think u got ur facts wrong about one thing .. first I haven't seen a V4 engine before.. i don't think there is a V4 engine in the first place.. inline 4 yes..

secondly about v6 if u say 2.0 and 2.0 inline 4 right.. most likely the in-line would have better torque.. why because most likely it would have a longer stroke.. shorter stroke engines like perdana v6 generally work better during high rev.. v6 is better because it only needs one balancing shaft.. there for the engine is actually a smoother engine in that sense..

ben,

Just my opinion.

I think your fc worst due to the straight-flow muffler la, cause as we know auto car need a back-pressure..in other word u should use the s-flow muffler instead of straight-flow. U tend to press more, but the car don't move that fast cause feel like 'power loose' like that.

2 mid-tabung at the middle can improve your mid-range la, but pick-up will be a bit lembab. Thay y u notice your FC bad, cause u tend to press the pedal harder. In fact, 2 mid-tabungs more good for turbo cars, i guess cause low-end power is high.

aja..

they told me that... tiptronic can use straight flow.. since the tiptronic have character like manual.. i donno wether it is true or not but the explaination given make sense..

by changing to s-flow muffler, what can i expect? better FC & response?

previously you use this kind of engine.. with some basic mod, full tank can go how far?
i know, this is a very subjective issue to discuss... but i need a figure just for guideline... i can't have FC of Turbo engine with my MIVEC tiptronic

do i need tuning? what to tune?

thanks

Theoritically, auto = tiptronic or vice-versa. The onli different is +/- which actually at Auto trans also got (P->D->R->3->2->1). Nothing different actually.

As far as the FC concerned, last time (around Dec 04)my FC per very RM10 fills (at old price, can't really remember at what price) can last around 75kms like that. Now i think maybe around 60kms kot. Don't really sure la.

i've already use 2.2" pipe with bullet and rear muffler 2.5" straight flow, it's ok?

but,if mivec 1.6 i think 2" is quite ok,friend of mine use it on4g92-wira

In my opinion, as i said earlier, my previous Mivec piipng size is 2.2"..which is i'm so far satisfy with it.

Donno about 2" though, but i think it's pretty small for 8k++ rpm engine. FYI, 4g92P engine max rev is only 6k++

hi..

i've done some changes to the piping system..
since i don't wanna have turbo FC on MIVEC tiptronic..

before this, the younger brother do the piping..
on my last visit... its time for the older brother...
i told him generally whats the problem...
he made a quick inspection... and said nothing wrong with the muffler...

quiet shocking actually, he advice me to replace one of my centre bullet.. since i have two identical bullet... with his guarantee i agree.. the brand TOPCAT... shape like square...

installed it.. test drive it...
n now i'm smiling :_:

just wana know where did u get this kind of engine..
thanx~:driver:

hi..

as i mentioned above... its tiptronic.. meaning got 2 mode.. full auto n semi-auto (the one with +, - gearchange)

roughly..
labour cost + halfcut cost = apprx. RM9k...

i can't remember exactly how much did i already spent...

but for registration from waja 1.8 to 1.6... no problemo!
