Car maintenance not cheap, unless got money, every 5 to 7 years finish installment, trade in get new car, start all over again....hhahahhahaha

if do overhaul....

ill probably do a checklist like this:

1-forged conrod
2-forged piston
3-acl/king race bearing with +1 size than original (to compensate crank and/or conrod bearing wear/machining repair)
4-metal head gasket
5-new oilpump kit
6-timingbelt kit
7-oilseal kit
8-waterpump
9-pretty much all new silicon hose
10-get spare turbo (probably rebuild with billet compressor wheel along the way)
11-emanage to tune to new engine power potential
12-new fuel pump
13-new fuel regulator (adjustable preferred)
14-all new mounting
15-spare driveshaft
16-spare 3k for gearbox rebuild (usually tendang-gear simptom happens on high mileage mitsubishi) caused by worn synchro

thats it...

eeekkkkkk....

waittt..... why in the recipt lists item most of them twice?

#ubahsuai liner- rm700 ok
#grindvalve using machine- rm304 ok
#potong crankshaft- rm220 ok
#skim head- rm80 ok
#then again skim head- rm40???
#water test head+block costs rm200???
#change valve guide- rm256 ok

all the above machine shop charged already...then why below the bill still add another RM400 for the job paid above?:confused::banghead::banghead::banghead:

this list i totally agree, at least when i plan to do budget overhaul for my own car last time(top overhaul and change piston rings and bearings with arp head studs) , ended up found piston ring groove got crack.. and then alang alang cracked my own pocket to forged all things inside:driver:

dont forget......6% GST

Both also just increased his budget.....lol:biggrin:

Budget increase oso nevermind, so long got evo monster engine inside.......

my overhaul cost me this on 4g93 na..
this is workshop bill only not include part that i buy my self..
so plan wise before you do major work to ur engine..

Pardon my ignorance and poor bahasa skills, but what is 'potong crankshaft'? You cut the crankshaft???

Bro, Izso, I think potong crankshaft might mean "crankshaft bought from chop shop".

haha.. no la bro..not cut like potong to pieces..
my workshop bawah pokok only that why like that the receipt..
my crankshaft got scratch..have to reground to put oversize acl race bearing..+0.25 now..
potong crankshaft = reground crankshaft in bawah pokok workshop term..hahaha..

before open engine like me only can hope nothing major have to do..
but after open then u know what happen inside..then u like pitam already..

among item that bought my self already cost 1k++:
acl bearing
arp headstud
valve 16pc
valve seal
timing belt kit
piston set
metal head gasket

well...if rebuilding daily driver n.a jimat minyak car i would stick to stock part...

but since we were talking about 4g63T (or any forced-fed engine) definately worth the investmen especially when planning for a rebuild

This is a bit out of topic, anybody familiar with ignite plug cable, I want to change my plug cable , my foreman recommended This cable , around rm380.

go for MSD ignition coil or racetech coil over plugs la but costs more (triple your budget)

Extra add-on some poison:biggrin:

Stock ecu can support?

My own experience using c.o.p conversion... it will lean out a bit of your fuel but not much.. but in exchange with better engine response

How much you did for C.O.P. conversion?

To TS, I did my engine rebuild too at around close to 8k with engine balancing and etc etc. New original mitsubishi oil pump (freaking expensive :thefinger:, ACL bearings, 4D68 crank, 2jz pistons, and bla bla bla). Head has HS 272 cams with WORKS cam gears. Injectors still 510cc and turbo still E3 16g. Good enough.....running in put max 1 bar only. Very takuts :thefinger:
I can hit target 300whp I happy d without engine problems :thefinger:
