For the first time ever, the largest gathering of Ducati riders in Asia will be congregating in Malaysia for the Asia Ducati Week 2010 that will see over 500 of the Italian two-wheelers gather at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) for the upcoming MotoGP race.
The event is based on the World Ducati Week that is held at the Misano Circuit in Italy every year and saw a record-breaking 60,000 motorcyclists from 28 countries join the extravaganza.
Coordinated by Ducati APAC, the Asia Ducati Week will have a collection of over RM60 million worth of Dukes on show and is expected to give a 15 per cent shot in the arm towards the local motorcycle market by way of its exclusive ownership experience.
As the Malaysian round of the MotoGP championship hits SIC on the 8-12 October 2010 weekend, the Asia Ducati Week will be followed by a two day Ducati Riding Experience Asia course conducted by Ducati in Italy.

The event has been themed ‘Red Storm’ and will be graced by international participation from over 22 countries such as Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam as well as several Ducatisti from Europe.
Kicking off the five day event will be a welcome dinner for the riders followed several street parties for the nights of 9 and 10 October at a designated Ducati zone along Jalan P.Ramlee.
Finally, the riders get to join in the Ducati Riding Experience Asia clinic that will be conducted by fully qualified trainers under the supervision of principle Ducati Motor Holdings and will even see an appearance by Troy Bayliss, who has 52 World Superbike victories under his belt.
