Just wanna share with u guys...

Cuz it's only cost u around RM7
1) RM5 - for the Flat Black can spray (make sure it's a Dove Flat Black can spray...)
2) Sand paper

Here how it goes...

1) first the head...chop shop condition...

2) then...wash n clean it...

3) sand paper the head, until all the paint remove...(u can also use paint remover), then the final touch, clean it with "autosol"...

4) meanwhile the plastic cover sprayed with "Dove" flat black...remember to use only "Dove" Flat black can spray others cans tried already, but can't get this result...

5) closer look at the flat black effect...the rough surface...

How to get the rought surface effect...

1) just spray 1 or 2 layer (depends on the thickness u want it) to cover the plastic head...

2) then the final touch...the final layer, spray it ranging about 22inch from the object...the further way up u spray the more rough effect you'll get...make sure u just keep on pressing the spray noozle, swing it left n right evenly...

P/S : The flat black effect look similar like Honda Type-R RedTop colour...but never tried on red colour before...only flat black colour...maybe u guys can try it... :D

dude...original yamaha 20vavle...
i've never seen an original yamaha engine b4...
do u got thew picture of it?

Sprayed my engine cover back to gray already...adhensiveness of the chrome paint is not so good...it's like a layer of shiny powder on top only... so i just spray another layer of lacquer on it...the color turns out to be dull gray..

buy pain from hardware shop very cheap,

'dove' brand
and 'arrow' brand
also similar effect....

my place sold for +-RM4 a can... :D

guys.. how you all seal back the head after removing it? The gasket won't tear is it? And another thing, is it ok to use normal spray.. not the 'high temp' type..? Please help, I'm planning on doing it next week. :)

the best results...take off the head...if u don't know...better ask a mech to take it off n after DIY, ask him to put it back...cuz maybe need a head gasket sealen...

BTW just to let u know...the black head cover, is a plastic cover...the chrome shining one,is the metal part... I've done on the engine itself, but believe me, it's a really messy one DIY..."that's y not many ppl want to DIY...:D hard work...but the satisfaction...walllaaaa...when pop-up the hood...aaahhhhh my DIY kueng kueng keung..."

alright, back to the chrome head...sand paper it with water, then absorb the excess water with sponge...then sand paper, sponge to suck the excess water from dripping...:D...keep on repeating until u satisfied...that's my own process, heeehee lazy one...don't to take off the head...

good luck...
Happy DIY
