correction.
there is no clutch.it uses a torque converter.A torque converter is a type of fluid coupling, which allows the engine to spin somewhat independently of the transmission. If the engine is turning slowly, such as when the car is idling at a stoplight, the amount of torque passed through the torque converter is very small, so keeping the car still requires only a light pressure on the brake pedal.

If you were to step on the gas pedal while the car is stopped, you would have to press harder on the brake to keep the car from moving. This is because when you step on the gas, the engine speeds up and pumps more fluid into the torque converter, causing more torque to be transmitted to the wheels

there's no clutch.in an auto transmission it's an exception.the funtions of a clutch is taken over by a torque converter.

aiks mine showing got clutch pulak :P
jinkl, your article is talking about the automatic transmission and inside the transmission there are some clutches. These sort of clutch is not the same as the clutch system of a manual car.

In a manual transmission car, the clutch systems is made up of the clutch disc/friction material, pressure plate, springs, throw-out bearings and clutch cover.

But in the automatic transmission car, the manual clutch system mentioned above does not exist... in it's place is the torque converter.

Dear ZTHians,

As per the title, a lady friend who once asked me which of these 2 are better as she loves both of
these models but still prefer a hatchback. Anyhow, Almeria seems to be in her category even
though is not a hatchback.

So, her question is which car to buy. There are 3 concerns:-

1) Resale Value
2) Maintenance
3) Spareparts

For me, I told her I would go for Ford Fiesta. I say best to narrow down to 2 models that you like
which is easier to make a choice...
