Hello all, im using inspira 2.0, changed my wheels (17j x 8j x off40 x 235/45 csc3) and now wanna lower down my car... im having issues just like any other users as to what brand to choose and why....sorry my bad.... i was actually referring to vogtland, H&R, gab, tanabe, Eibach, etc.... and it would be great if we can conduct review session on these coils and how they behave on malaysian road as a daily driven ride..... i can volunteer but we need a team effort here....

first we need a running team sbb kalau aku buat sorang lagi 2 bulan la jawabnye hahaha.... volunteer from inspira owner yg dah pakai vogtland, h&r, tanabe, proride and eibach, or any other type of mass produced over-the-shelf coil springs for inspira/lancer to come forward.... janji damper std... baru even ground.... (although we cannot control factors such as engine weight, rim size, tyre height, etc, etc....)

aku prepare schedule & venue, cari photographer & videographer (atau ada yg nak volunteer?), we need a "post review writer/narrator and web person to start uploading to links to this forum, youtube, FB, and make hype..... i can also try getting hypertune to cover the review too in their mags.... we can have the owner himself go through a slalom and braking and short modulated circuit.... we can try to somehow simulate normal malaysian roads too for comfort test.... let say we get together and talk this out bros? this could get serious if we pull the right strings.... anyone volunteering?:stupido2:

1. I volunteer my self as the "control car"....std damper with std coils with 17' rims.... - Ash, Shah Alam, 0193963693:evil:
2. ?
3. ?

Hi bro, nice thing you're trying to do here. i am a 1.8L manual inspira owner. also switched to 17inch rims but my tires are 225/50/R17 instead of 45. results will vary slightly just with tires alone. but my ride is lowered with eibach sportline coilovers but OEM dampers. also have ultra racing struts and anti roll bars.

all these factors will tweak the car's handling, so the only way for you to get an apple to apple comparison is to uninstall all non-OEM parts in each owner.

Hi there,

Just to share my experiences when I'm visiting R3 center. I checked with them on R3 coil spring compare with std spring different 30mm. It has the same comfort, better handling and lowered than original spring. If you have 18' rim, from tire to fender is around 3 finger height. The guy told me that currently is out of stock. I wonder why the sales is so good bcoz on the road I hardly see lowered inspira. R3 guy said lot of lancer owner also install R3 spring because of the price factor and it has what most Malaysian wants. (Comfort and handling).

Anybody try out Tein coil spring? the price is slightly higher than R3 spring and cheaper than eibach. I want to know the height and comfort level after installing Tein coil spring.

Seriously on the lancer part? haha

hi all, im now on eibach prokit + rota 17j x 8j off25 x toyo c1s 225/45.

image as below.... so far feels good, a bit of rear fender roll needed but a tad harder than oem coils.... very satisfied!

Heard tein s-tech is also good.there's also proride, which is kinda cheap as well..

Actually the teins are better if you are going for a bit more performance. Between the three, actually the proride performs the best cos its pretty stiff....

If compare between eibach, tein and proride, the lowest would be tein, then proride and tallest is eibach...

by spring rating, the hardest would be proride, then tein then only eibach.... depending on what you want as the ultimatum... but if u want to be able to configure and customise the only solution would be fully adjustables..... HL/SF....:adore:

the cons with tein s-tech is dat it might lower the car more than expected.
wif malaysian road...a lowered ride will create hassle for the driver.

Using sapura proride, handling feels much better than stock

hi there..i'm using the 1.8mt inspira stock from factory..the only thing i've done for it is just remap the ecu and a front strut bar from UR..since my hometown is in kelantan,i'm a frequent user of the karak hiway..on an uneven road i was satisfy with the ride comfort and handling but for some spirited driving i'm a bit dissapointed..dashing down on karak hiway corners i always have to change between lane to get the car a bit stable on corners..if not doing that,i'm risking to throw everything inside the car all around inside the car..enuf to wake my "speedcut" madam to start pot pet pot pet..hehehehe:biggrin:

my car is just around 4 month old car..what can i do to extract a bit performance from my stock suspension?planning to upgrade adjustable H/L S/H but that upgrade was way into the future..what can i do to improve my handling but still using the oem suspension?

Try replacing the rear anti-roll bar to a thicker one (23mm) and upsize your rims and tyres to 17".
These are what I have done recently and it helps.

My next step would be R3 springs.

Good luck.

I thought Inspira's OEM springs are good because the steering has good response and can actually feel the sharp little bumps... but the shocks are... I don't know how to say but taking long deep corners, the bodyroll is... quite chilling to the gut actually. IMHO... maybe faster bound/rebound shocks first before springs... unless you want to low down the car...

I am no expert in this field, all through past experience with Wira. Also, did rode a R3 Inspira whereby the shocks are the same but different springs and wheel size. Can noticed less rolls during hard corners while maintaining some comfort.

All I need now is to stiffen a little on the suspensions and drop the heights by few cm, springs would be the best bet.
