currently my fren is driving Airtrek Turbo
he needs a bov. he wants Greddy Type-S
and i got this deal from a fren, but im not sure how does it sounds like..

now i want to make things clear between this 2 bov:

Greddy type-s (purple colour) and greddy type-s (black colour) any difference as in the sound wen they blow?
anyone tried these 2 bov b4 kindly tell me how does it sounds like.
my fren got no contacts so asked me to help him.

i got sum info sumwher in here saying that both of this bov sounds the same, the only diff is the first batch and the second batch and the colour is only the difference. im kinda doubt cus this bov got the same sound but got different colour (purple and black) . is it true?
from wht i know the purple one produces this sound ( chiu kring kring ) means the first sound is like SSQV den ther is a bell sound at the end. how about the black one?

sound , nearly similar to ssqv but abit diffrent
can ask a few zth members , ReNo and alvin24 , both using it
black or purple should be colour of choice only , no diffrence
but if he is gonna boost high.. then please, Type-R not type-s

yeah i tried using my mechs type-s purple colour b4..it is sweet..
btw hopefully it is colour choice only , and the sound is the same cus my fren is tempted after hearing me saying dat the type-s i used b4 nice sound.
so jinkl confirm sound no diff but colour choice only rite?
another question:

can this type-s be welded dead to the intercooler piping? or the material is the same as R2D2 dat cant be welded, oni can use clamp wif screws to install..
as far as i know, SSQV, Blitz SuperSound can be welded dead onto the piping..those cant be welded afaik is Sard R2D2 dats all..how about this Greddy type-s? need any adapter like SSQV?

u need the flange
weld the flange
then u can unscrew the bov anytime u want

yeah i know the flange is needed cus from the pics i see, the tapak of that bov got screw holes so i assume need gasket in between to screw the bov and the flange.
anyway any other comments about this 2 bov guys?
any difference besides the colour different?
how high can this bov boost?
