Some of the supercars on the planet pack insane amounts of power that could probably run a small nation’s power needs but the downside about power is that once you’ve had a lick, you just need more.
So if you’re part of that one percentile of humans able to afford a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series and need to be faster than the other owners if you so happen to chance upon them during a grocery run, MKB suggests more ponies.
The performance pack includes larger air-intakes, larger turbochargers, improved cooling system, hot cams and a revised ECU to govern the madness. Of course, the auto box has been strengthened to cope with the ludicrous power and limited-slip differentials are available as well to get the power down to the ground.
With all those upgraded parts on offer, the 6-liter V12 now pushes out 1,000hp and 1,300Nm of torque. The torque was actually electronically limited to prevent the transmission needing a rebuilt every time the accelerator was met the floor.
Performance figures stand at 3.6-seconds for the century sprint, 8.9-seconds for the double century and 21.5-seconds for the triple. If you keep your foot heavy on the go-pedal and don’t let up, the speedo will stop at the approximated top speed of 370km/h.
