go b8 turbo mate.... don't worry about the maintainance... it is not that bad... in fact the fuel consumption in a b8 is similar to that of a 2.0l v6 engine... my car can clock 425km full tank of 65 ringgit!!! when you need the power... it is always there!!!!! b8 powerful engine.........

well id say if u haf the budget go the 210 way.....
if u wish to save a little just get a 180 wif a vf10
maintenace wise the B8 is quite fuel economical for a 1.8 T
but please bear in mind the faster u make it go the thirstier it will be
and spare parts arent really that expensive but 'at timez' can be hard to find.
id say the B8 is a great engine for the first time turbo enthusiast
as its relatively problem free.

b8 turbo is a reliable engine... before that i also hear ppl talking about problems from a turbo engine... hard to maintain and parts are expensive and so on... but so far my engine gave me no problem at all... just some tuning need to be done and minor maintainence!!

all depends lar brother.. i treat my engine very badly... i use to play alot lastime in a week time i can go dyno tuning for twin running more than xx times. and play and play i seldom change my engine oil like a few months once. the engine still very lasting... so far my engine never give me any problem. but the clutch is sliping now.

compare to using evo engine it will kill easily with what i treat to the engine...

B8 is proven long lasting engine. some ppl can easily pecah the b8 engine. it becox they are running super lean like 14-15:1 AFR... it happen to number of ppl i saw lastime.

if you running your AFR 11:1 it wil anytime very safe while running high boost or anything.
