The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has managed to themselves listed as one of Forbes Magazine's America’s most reputable companies, placing 26th on the magazine’s seventh annual ranking of corporate reputation in the United States, gaining 12 places from last year and becoming the only tyre manufacturer to have made it that far up the list in the automotive industry.

<!--more-->The consumer survey was conducted by Reputation Institute’s (RI) U.S. Reputation Pulse, which began in the first quarter of 2012 and the survey looks at the overall trust, esteem, admiration and good feelings from more than 10,000 consumers over 150 companies within the United States.

The scores were accumulated based on RI's set criteria of products/services, innovation, governance, workplace, citizenship, leadership and financial performance, where it placed importance on product perceptions (products/services and innovation) in driving consumer behaviors.
