Hi there,

Need some advice on injector upgrade.

Current have a 4G15 sohc already with a stroker kit installed.

Recently the car has been jerking at low RPM.

I have changed the fuel pump & 4G15 ecu, the problem still persist.

Recently sold off my afc neo, will be getting a e-manage blue to replace it.

Next to change the injectors, any recommendation?

I have 3 injectors in mind:-
1) 4g92p 182cc - am sure this can fit
2) GTO 210cc - not sure if can fit
3) Mivec 240cc - not sure if can fit

Thanks.

ok put the regulator 1st... if u got a lot of budget can go for emanage blue/ultimate.. make sure its the original one...go find reputable tuner and do dyno... if u on tight budget just upgrade the ecu...(not bypass to up rev limit only)

How to upgrade if using VDO?

Kipasa, unless you're going to go turbo, 210/240 might be too large. You'll never full utilize those injectors. Under utilized injectors will wear out faster. Having said that doesn't mean it'll die off in a year, probably after 5 years it'll start to fail. Been there done that.

VDO can't use eManage. Only 2 piggy backs will work with VDO - EMS and Unichip. Otherwise go full standalone which is overkill for your super stock car.

hi Izso,

thanks for the advice.

current injectors are 142cc, engine use to be 1.3..

will be getting the 182cc which is the correct injectors for 4g15..

next phase will be getting fuel regulator, e-manage and matspeed 272 cams.

thanks again.

emanage cant be use wif vdo bcoz it will be reset by itself... for cost saving u can upgrade the vdo ecu.. increase the rev cut and the whole fuel map..

for mmc wiring also can upgrade or can rechip if the ecu come wif chip..

Eh.. wait. If 182 is 1.5 then that means 210 was what I was on and before that 240. So 240 will be too large, 210 is fine with stroker. Mine lasted 6 years before I sold off the car. Last I heard it was still working great.

Well, not quite accurate. Emanage can't handle open loop. Or was it closed loop? Er.. either one. VDO needs both parameters. And how to upgrade the VDO Ecu? If you plug in the 1.8 VDO from the Satria GTI you need to add in a few other sensors the standard 4G1x doesn't have. I think it was the MAF or MAP.... can't remember. And then the TB had to come over as well. Whatever the case it involved a lot of work which made it not worthwhile upgrading.

Hi Izso,

Purchased the 182cc already,
will try it out.

What colour was your injectors?

Blue - 182cc

yellow - 210cc

grey - 240cc

Thanks.

Oh is that how it works? Mine were blue. Meaning I was on 182cc injectors. Woo thanks for the info! Got your AFPR yet? Don't buy those obvious fakes, better to buy a local branded one than a fake Japanese one. The diaphragm inside more lasting in those local branded ones like Works, Arospeed, etc.

glad i could help.

the 182cc seem to have sloved the jerking.

thanks for the info on the local fuel regulators.

any advice on the satria back box?

current setup 4-2-1 hotbits extractor, center pipeline is custom 2' with build in bullet.

hotbits back box kinda pricey rm660, but thier extractor really works.

looking for a straight flow back box with an s-flow design.

have not tried asking everco yet.

cheers!
