Thread starter stated he is looking for TA40, yet he posted pics of RA28 and TA22. Totally different machines there.

At least, try to do some research before getting too excited.

And RM4k for a running condition? You may get a running conditon RA28 for RM4k alright, if:
1. You are related to the owner;
2. The owner is desperate for cash;
3. The car is a rustbucket with running engine and little else besides that.

Many people want 'cheap thrills'. Owning and running a classic car is not.

Refraining from making offers to buy a running classic for a mere RM4k is not exactly a shabby thing to do. Otherwise, you would imply that the owner is your family, or he is desperate for cash, or his car is running rustbucket.

That can be insulting.

Now this is the problem.

People give you advice in good language, you reply by saying people blind, open eyes bigger and giving a :thefinger:.

I saw the TA40 pic. That's because your thread title states that you want a TA40. Your thread title doesn't say you want TA22 or RA28. Yet you posted pics of those two.

I've owned a TA22 and now I own a TA27. Now, what classic car do you own?

I think I can say for all the classic car owners out there that the most annoying people are those who left a note in our cars' windscreen and approached us asking if we are willing to part with our classics: for cheap.

Again, doing this is like implying that the classic car enthusiast is either desperate for cash or the car's worth is cheap = junk. Both are insulting.

So, in your quest for your 'new good idea', you can start by:
1. editing your thread title;
2. adjusting either your budget (RM4k) or your requirement (running condition);
3. focus and knowing what you reallly want instead of being greedy and wanting all (want TA22, RA28, TA40);
4. be a lot less thicker and start thinking about people's advice.

Then I wish you good luck in finding a running condition TA22/RA28/TA40 for RM4k.

I really hope you can find one so that you can join Classic Celica Club Malaysia.

Then I can see you face-to-face and see if you can call me blind, dumb, crap, stupid and get lost.

Cheers.

I hv to agree with SubVersiv.

I've been looking for an "ok" running condition classic Celica for about 2 years now. I must say, even with my budget of RM10k, it is tremendously tough to find one in Peninsula Malaysia. Our market demands for these babes are definitely greater than available supplies out there.
