Honestly.....why did you change car??

So far, the typical reasons (we read and hear) to change car are:

1. family out grow size of car, or settled down
2. no more modding/retire from modding, so sell off car
3. nagging wifey, GF donch like wor...
4. Need quick cash for business
5. Company car mar, so change lor...

In actual fact....

how many of you here sold off the car due to:

1. car kana accident. No mood, no syoik...so sell it off
2. blardy car give endless problem, big money pit
3. Cant tahan price road tax/insurance every year
4. Cannot find damn spare parts, or damn expensive to upkeep
5. Car got hantu, after langgar ppl and died. Damn sui car.
6. SC give lousy service.
7. lousy 2nd value. Better sell off car before the car totally worthless
8. No more syoik
9. Out of trend.
10. Cannot tahan monthly bank installment
11. Plate number got "4" number. Feeling damn sui
12. thief magnet. So worried everything, everywhere
13. Damn malu, becoz many fren say car no use. Throw into sea better.

--editted--

So, which one was your reason, really? or Did I missed out anything?

I only change car once...from Proton Saga 1.5 Knight to Proton Satria Neo 1.6 base line...

the reason as listed is this...
7. lousy 2nd value. Better sell off car before the car totally worthless
7. No more syoik
(why no 7 twice??)

but actually its about future reliability and safety...at the point of selling, it is still zero problem...

after that no more change car..addition only..
Inspira for future family and comfort as im getting older...and Iriz for jimat minyak, low maintenance, and tech...

So far I changed cars mostly because of these reasons only:
  1. Can afford to change
  2. Bored with previous car and want to try something else (similar to no.8 I suppose)
  3. Found something I like better within my budget

I only change because I have to for space. Have regretted selling ever since.

I'd rather get another car rather than sell my old car. Which I did. :damnmate: Damn regret.

All cars I bought I could pay them full in cash if I want to. If I cannot pay them full then I would not even consider it. That's just my principle though...

Yeah, we all already know Pomen_Gtr is kaya betullllllll x 100

43k vs 46k.. doesn't mean budget at all. Old car sold off to put as downpayment, then loan amount same as my old car and just pay around the same amount of money. Where got budget? It's technically the same.

Buying the car using bank loan means the bank still the rightful owner to the car, until all money are paid off to the bank.
I think I better off drive a fully paid-up 2nd hand car, than a new car (and still servicing loan until cow comes home).

At least, it is debt free. I can use my money to upgrade my car, hahahaha

Different people different thinking. I am like you, prefer less debt, so all my cars except one are all used. I say used, because some not even 2nd, but 3rd.....lol
More over for the price of 2nd hand against new, I can get a bigger more comfortable car.
However like I mentioned some prefer new, probably status, less hassle, maybe afraid of break down and repairs etc. and best I can mod my used car till the bulls come home.....hhahhahahahhahah:biggrin:

for me.. lazy to wait for foreman to fix my car, lazy to search for the parts..
at the end no money to buy a new one.. still stick with my 20 years old Kancil..hehe..
but when got new car still hand unable to control wanna to mod the car..hehehe (cantonese call fan cin)...

at the end the only reason to change a car is pocket a lot liao, want to kering a bit...

My list of cars,

1. Proton Iswara (Changed cause too old already and parts starting to fail. Traded in with for RM5k to purchase Myvi)
2. Perodua Myvi EZi (Purchased new but after about 3years, getting too small even with just a family of 3. Still have the car but bought a Proton Inspira)
3. Proton Inspira 2.0E CVT (My current ride. Chose the Inspira as it was a real steal. Which car in the market in 2012 has Auto-Cruise, Auto-Headlights On/Off, Auto-Wipers, a 2.0 engine, CVT 6-speed with shifters for sub RM80k brand new?)

I suppose it was inevitable; Porsche recently announced that the name for the new SUV in their line-up is Macan. Derived from the Indonesian word for tiger, it is said to combine suppleness, power, fascination and dynamics - core characteristics of this new car. This new SUV is said to slot in below the Cayenne.

The Macan will be sixth in the model...
