CNN has published an article about safety and product ratings by all major airline companies in the world:

And the world's safest airline is ...

The safest airline = Qantas (Australia)
The worst airline = Kam Air (Afghanistan)

Also among the safest airline is Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific (both 7 out of 7 score).

Malaysia airlines = a good 6 out of 7
Air Asia airlines = 4 out of 7!

The US rates airlines from Indonesia and Philippines as generally not complying with international safety standards.
