My ride,Waja 1st model sohc still in good running (engine). I intend to convert to GSR or Mivec but still sayang my engine still move smoothly can reach 160rpm (auto).
How bout if i juz upgrade adjustable cam pulley,crank pulley and cam shaft?
How bout oil consumption? HP? Any opinion guys?
 
you mean 160km/h??
what u intend to do with ur car?? high revving all the time?
high cams will give more power but ur low end would be a bit sluggish...
to me, when u use high cams, u'll be more on higher rpm.. so higher rpm, higher fuel consumption...

p/s: correct me if i'm wrong.. :)
 
wat is ur targetted hp?..wat is ur budget?..

ehdrian: No target ast ol bro...juz wana powerful engine. Surveying recond engine but mine still ok. So,tryin to upgrade high cam,cam pulley n crank pulley...
 
If no target is difficult for people to give you advice...what is consider powerful engine to you?
 
Power engine 4 me is more power than my old stock engine. Just for daily use...not race. Stable engine i mean.

i think manual would be more responsive, nv tried the tiptronic before tho. no comments on that

agreed.. just do standart modification la bro..

extractor..muffler.. center bullet.. manual trans..lighten flywheel..lighten rims..lighten body(cf)..lighten..ecu management blablabla..still reliable to daily drive..:biggrin:

Saving on your bucks? Try to high cam your pistons
And change th exhaust intake 421, provide you with sufficient power as well as efficiency

Shiftronic isn't a manual, it is just a conventional auto with +/- let you do manual shift sequentially. Nothing big deal.

imo, highcam is not suitable for daily rider. I bet you will swap back to stock cam very soon.

Want to maintain your current engine while make your car go faster and feel more pull? 14" light weigh wheel will give you that feel while save you some fuel too.
 
intake n exhaust first i think better..
then mod engine bit by bit..
after that sure u infected by the mod bug..
 
until 1 day.. u will realize.. if you're just transplant to a new engine would be better and saving..plus no headache hehee
 
i heard some waja users swapping to 1.8dohc head...something like that...
