Why are you choosing Satria Manual while Auto for Vios & Swift? Both of these cars also offer manual transmission. I believe Vios Manual is less around rm5k more than Satria Manual.

Not considering Gen2 or Persona?

Bro, if i were u, i would absolutely go for the VIOS.

I wudnt want to buy a malaysian car because of the never ending problems and i would rather buy a japanese car.

Believe me bro, go for the japanese car (VIOS) and it will last u a LIFETIME.

And some more, VIOS BOOT is so damn BIG,can fit in anything anytime.

And FUEL COMPSUMTION IS DAMN GOOD!

Just look at the japanese cars on the road right now

And u dont need to go for Vios auto there is also another option which is VIOS J MANUAL.

Its damn cheaper than the auto.

And the extra money u can buy good rims or put in a turbo kit :)

Suzuki swift? Errr no.. Ill still take the vios.

I have driven the auto one, and pickup is so damn quick and the car is soo damn light :)

if u plan to transplant a more powerful engine then i believe the neo is the better choice..fyi, the neo's handling is much much better than the vios..the neo look far more better than the vios..swift is good looking but pricey..

Talking about "transplanting" engines into a satria neo, why not add a turbo into the VIOS?

Here is one fine example = Toyota Vios Turbo

Japanese cars are way more practical than malaysian cars and we all know that.

And if u buy NEO or SWIFT, what about boot space?

Where are u gonna stuff all the luggages when u balik kampung or need to go somewhere?

And vios in its real stock shape looks ugly no doubt about that.

But when u fit in some nice rims and add a spoiler and some bodykit, it will really look nice.

Haiya handling only for what?

What about straight line?

I had a friend who bought a satria neo, and after 3 weeks, i repeat, 3 WEEKS, he had to send his car back to proton for an overhaul.

I dont know what was the problem but luckily it was still in warranty.

And then, i sat in another of my friends satria neo and he was going 170km/h on PLUS highway, and guess what, his right viper started to rattle up and down because of the wind.

I mean, is this what we spend our hard earn money on ah?

Save so much to buy a car, and we get like this quality cars?

Really sakit hati la.

I will still go for the VIOS no matter what, 2nd choice will be the SUZUKI SWIFT. :wavey:

for power hungry people, go for NEO, satria neo CPS can put GSR or mivec engine just plug n play, and better handling than some japanese car in stock form..and much more better if put eibach, tein or RSR suspension setup...but if u choose Neo choose CPS one not the old model..than fit ori Neo R3 bodykit and if got budget just buy ori satria Neo R3 RM71k must order first to buy..hehehe.. my 2nd choice suzuki swift (coz i own one heehe) but std spec spring to soft, but can mod to extreme..eg. put 1.8 stroker kit, greddy supercharger or hicam...and can put swift sport or hikari bodykit..hehe

if you put this 3 models for comparison... id say vios will be triumphant.. and i do think not only young people will agree.. even retired old folks used em n say that its a good car..

Vios.. is an ideal 4 door sedan, very fuel efficient, decent power even with 4-5 pax, comfy interior space n trunk.. does not have quality problems.. very reliable car.. can choose from spec j,e,g,s.. body kits also available by TRD n etc... can upgrade for turbo like the thai vios market... very easy to maintain.. various ppl from various background seems to own n like the car.. and it does not fall sick easily

Swift.. it is somehow a nice looking hatchback..better with bodykits.. but.. it fails on room space either in interior or trunk space.. it is quite crampy if you ask me... consumption is not as decent as Vios, city, jazz models... auto tranny makes it less fun for modders or enthusiast.. but the swift Sport is a different story in performance...

Neo... I just dont think its a wise choice.. it does look nice and sporty.. but other than that.. i feel its a thumbs down compared to vios n swift quality... ergonomics is not that good.. may be the seats, steering n roof position is not porposionate.. interior looks quite cheap... But.. it has lots of bodykits ups for grabs.. and a lot of choice of parts to modified.. consumption and reliability... it wont be better than most japanese makes models.. maybe its not fair to compare it with vios n swift..

i am not bias on brand.. If you want a car that you hv to learn about in all the times of usage.. proton would be a good choice... the newer models will train the driver/user to identify n trouble shoot problems.. its like playing puzzle in the dark.. where u wont know what the outcome will be or will ever be.. and some problems u wont find using other makes at all...

kokanchai,

frankly, if u have tested all 3 cars (vios, neo, swift) and 1 additional car honda city
maybe u tell us what do i think of those ... perhaps there is already a decision
in your mind, and u just need some 'endorsement' and 'opinions' from forummer
or current owners of those cars to support your decision .

my waja1.6x auto 2002 dec

i have done below modifications to my waja, i only aim for 1st stage
performance and fine turning.
as theory says that engine performance can be devide by 4-that is intake,
exshault , ignitions, and fuel, due to that. i have done below
modifications on 3sections biside fuel. and thinking of getting a fuel
regulator to adjust the fuel pressure to higher rate to give better fuel
spray and a bit more fuel to the engine to macth the incressed air intake...
